We have ALL done some stupid things. So give yourself a break. Seek psychiatric help or see your medical doctor. You are experiencing a depression. There are lots of treatment options, including talk therapy and medications (seritonin reuptake inhibitors, commonly known as antidepressants) that are affective in treating depression. It is not your fault that you are depressed. It is a treatable illness. It does not mean you are weak-minded or that you bought it on yourself. Do seek help and forget the stigma behind doing so. If you don't want anyone to know JUST DON'T TELL THEM!
Millions of people in this country suffer from depression. Some use alcohol and illegal drugs to treat it much to their detriment. GET HELP! You are worth it and it does work! Consult your local mental health department for treatment on a sliding scale.
Praying helps too. Also, sometimes when you are outside, LOOK UP! You'll see there is a vast sky up there and you'll feel better. I'm serious. It really works. Perhaps that's why we have that expression, "Look up and see the bright side."
I just said a prayer for you. I hope you get the help you need. DO IT TODAY!

yea, I have that happen more times then I'd like to admit, but at the end of the day I just sigh a bit then say ...well there isn't anything I can do to fix it, or simply I 'll just shrug it off and say Oh well. because I will only feel worse if I keep thinking about it so I try to sidetrack myself

You have to choose to feel great or to feel dead inside. If you choose to feel great than ok, but if you choose to feel dead inside you have to choices to look on that on good side or to look on that on dark side. If you look on that on good side (like it's something good, positive) than ok, but else you have to choose if you'll look on that just this moment or for the rest of your life. If you choose 1# that feeling 'dead inside' will be gone now, but if you choose the other you'll be soon dead not just from the inside but from the outside... So choose your way of living...

you have some strong feelings going on. sometimes we lose perspective on things, or we talk negatively about ourselves in our heads. if this happens, catch yourself and think whether you're being rational or just out to lunch. we can get really caught up in our thoughts. do you find it hard to accept yourself sometimes, placing unnecessary expectations on yourself? all these things we do to ourselves, is detrimental to our emotional health. we end up feeling tired, defeated, and depressed. only you can take yourself out of that state by having acceptance for who you are and the situation you are in. change up your situation.

Sometimes, and other times I feel happy for no apparent reason. It's OK. You don't' need drugs, we aren't suppose to be HAPPY all the time that's not normal.

Think about other people. Think of ways to make them happy. Soon you'll realize you've forgotten yourself and how empty you felt.
