Right now, my boyfriend is going through things. His ex-wife is suing him for full custody of their kid, he is going through foreclosure, we are broke, his family acts like they dont give a crrap, last year he lost his job and was/still is going through some depression. he has this new job but its been slow goings and hes learning how to sell the new product for this company. He moved to my area 5 years ago. He doesnt know many people here except for a few neighbors, and some old co workers, which live like 30 miles away. Hes becoming good friends with his new co worker however, he lives about 40 mi. away and never really sees him but talks on the phone alot. Really the only support hes gotten is from me, and a little from my family. Do you think he really needs me at this time in his life?
weve been together since late 2004. And I love him very much. He has been very good to me.

meet a new guy. you have 50 of them around your block. he's broke, has a shitty family, has no job, and is depressed. im sure that guy is fun to be with.

Yes he needs you, so leave him.
I am at least as old as your grandpa, and I have been through all the things you mention, and it just made me grizzly. So leave him, it will make him tough and you happy.
