No, people doesn't want the same thing. People want to be on the better and winning side. So it's either you're with "us" or you're "our" enemy.
It's funny isn't it? Jesus died for us for sins like that and we are only looking to justify these sins only to be eligible for a place in paradise on our last journey.
People are stupid,......... aren't we?

Because on the surface they appear to all be the same Christ and the same Kingdom of Heaven that each is aiming for, but when researched, they are only the same names used and not the same being or destination at all. An excellent book that explains very well the differences is written by Dr. Erwin Lutzer www.moodypublishers.org called Christ among other gods or 1-800-678-6928. It really helped me sort through the concept of we're all wanting the same thing and going to the same place so what's the fuss. Excellent and easy to understand why there is a difference. Good luck.

All religions are not the same and we all don't believe the same thing. Everyone is not out for the same thing every religion does not believe in eternal life. Also all religions don't believe in Heaven. The religions that agree in eternal life and Heaven differ in their beliefs on how you are going to get that eternal reward.

You are absolutely right. It's based only on certain interpretations of the Bible, that's where we get denominations.
I feel the same way you do, that it shouldn't matter. I tell people who get hung up on this whole "Baptists are right, Catholics are all going to Hell" or "Catholics are right, Mormons are going to Hell", or "Methodists aren't real Christians", or WHATEVER two things:
"Judge not, lest ye be judged."
and
"Christ said He's the way and the life. If these people believe that, then aren't they going to heaven? And would it be true to say, then, that by doubting that, you're doubting who Christ was?"

Not all religions see Christ as God therefore a problem. Not everyone wants the same thing for as religion because of the different doctrines and teachings done by mere men or women.

They all started with differences in opinion. If you study church history, you will realize that while some of those who separated ways from the main stream (meaning catholic) may have had good reasons, the problem is pride (not only for those who separate, but also for those who ruled).
You see, pride is one of the capital sins. It is the sin of the fallen angels. And the enemy continues to use this to destroy the unity of those who are trying to be faithful.

There is but one true religion. One faith. Christ said to judge a tree by it's produce. And also that you would know who is disciples are, by the love they have for each other. There is only one professing christian religion that produces good fruitage and has love amongst themselves. I hope you find it.

it depends on how you understand religion!
religion is not set of commands given by someone which should be fallowed at any cost
religion is philosophy of life, it makes you understand meaning of life, it is you who should know which is good , which is bad,
you should learn religion and understand it, you don't need to see who is the teacher (it can be Jesus or anyone, but everyone teaches the same subject which is philosophy of life ) they are teaching for US , not for for THEM, so they dont really cares if you accept him or not, what they want is that you understand his teaching and live a peacefull life!!
So it doenst really matter how many religions there are but if all understand religion and live according to it, WORLD would have PEACE

because the religions are controlled by humans and most people look for power, it's not a question of faith, it's only human interest... look the history, first of chistianism was catholic, then the roman imperium broke and create the orthodox in the Byzantine roman imperium, and the protestant reform, always, more or less, caused by economic interest...

You cannot explain any religious beliefs in rational terms since all religions are irrational - so don't expect anyone the who believes in (insert the God of your choice here) to make sense.
