When it all is said and done.. You have the good and then you have the bad. I am currently in an Internet relationship and it is working out great. As long as both parties are honest and keeping everything 100% then it will work. But you gotta be sure that's the type of relationship that you want. I say go for it

I seriously didnt believe in internet relationships. I gave it a try though. I had some good friends on here (one which I had known for more than 5 years and was head over heels for) which I honestly thought I would never have a hope with and that it wouldnt be anymore than friendship so I began looking out of the friendship circle.

I had one heartache after the other because people tend to lie and pretend to be someone they are not (they invent a life)

I met two people off the net over a period of 3 years who turned out to be complete liars/disaster so I had totally given up. I was so fed up I even joked about jumping off a cliff or joining a convent. I told my good friend that and he said ok you join the convent and I'll join the priesthood then. I thought that was odd but shrugged it off. I began calling him Father Hippy as a joke.

Like always he was there for me through the thick and thin and after my disappoints in life he would always raise my spirits, thats when I realised I felt more. I didnt think he would be interested in me.

Little did I know he felt the same way because a mate of his and mine dobbed him in. We began dating on here with the promise to meet up. I allowed 6 months before we would meet. We met up and everything was just so natural and easy. We spent two weeks together and got engaged. I had to organise my belongings to shift down here to be with him. We eloped when I returned. We've been together for many years now. Neither of us have ever been so happy.

As I have a neice I raise little did we know that the term Father Hippy was so appropriate.

For every 99 @ssholes on the net, there is one good one. Its a job in itself trying to find that one good one.

They say love is blind and I believe it. He was right under my nose the whole time.

Good luck

Worked for me - I married my internet guy and we are nine months pregnant. It's a great alternative to the bar scene. We were definitely in love long before we met face to face. And we were both really honest online which made it easier

It'll work....if both is willing to spend some time with each other over the net...I had net relationship too...it last for 2 years and ahve to be ended because some cultural difference...

It'll be better if you see your partner in person though...before everything's getting too deep between you two...it's always good to know them in person!

It depends on both people. To me, a relationship is based on emotions, and even through the internet, you have plenty of that. If both people are willing to give it a shot, and try it out, then there's nothing wrong with it, so long as you take precautions, just like if you were going out to date a stranger. And yes, alot of them work out just fine. I know mine is. :P

I think net dating isn't good caz u don't know if he/she really wants to date or just wants to play around. Better to chat to a person u really know in real life.
