Well, as a guy, if I've worked up the nerve to talk to a girl and get so far as to flirting, then it's undoubtedly great to have the girl flirt back. I'd take it as a sign of interest, and more importantly, a sign that I'm not wasting my time and am on the right track. And afterall, flirting can be fairly innocent in the grand scheme of things.
Most of the guys and girls that I know that dig The Chase are the ones that are not ready to settle down with ANYONE. That's why chasing someone is vastly more interesting to them rather than what comes after the chase, ie: a relationship. That's just my observations, and I'm not saying that everyone that enjoys persuing someone can only like that, cuz eventually most everyone settles down out of that mindset. That's my 2 cents...

Speaking for myself If I was interested in a girl and going to the trouble to let her know I was, The last thing I would want is her playing hard to get. If you both like each other and you play hard to get I would simply move on rather then play your game. The trill is not in the hunt it is exploring what it is like to spend time with each other and getting to know one another if you can keep reinventing and renewing each other the thrill will last forever and that's the truth. The beginning of a relationship is when it is the most exciting not chasing one

just a little. We get frustrated too when we dont get rewards for putting much effort in the "chase". Give him some, but always leave him wanting for more. So dont give all. Thats when you become no longer "fun". Sometimes, when you realize he's starting to get a little laid back, pull back some of the "rewards". Its just like some rubber band thing. Keeps it exciting.

i can not speak for all men but a little hard to get is good. If you seem easy to get you are going to leave the impression that you are are easy to get.. Same thing goes with being to hard to get. We do want the perfect woman as much as we don't say it. For most guys the perfect woman is not easy and not hard to figure out. We want enough to keep us on our toes but who is not a *****. One makes us think but not break out the slide ruler and consult the stars. So a little hard to get show us that you are worth the wait and the wait is worth the ride.

Depends on the man's personality. But I think it's fair to say most men aren't going to bother a woman any more after she initially turns him down, or after she shows definite lack of interest.

You may find a dozen of guys out of a thousand that might be into the "hard to get" attitude...It's fine in some cases. However,a little bit of tug-o-war is more intriguing and interesting...it keeps the guy wondering alot(is she into me or what!!?)...give a little play...but not easy...he'll earn his way to you.One day she can be very flirtacious...the next-hard to get without shutting him out....
BTW,we love when they flirt back(EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US)!!!

How "hard" are we talking about? I mean, I wouldn't like to go chasing a girl for five years... But I don't like anything (or anyone) which/who is too easy to get, either. What easy comes, easy goes...
