Some foods liquify as it is desolved where as others are a mass that takes longer.
You can eat lots of shrimp because it liduify's, but you can't eat lots of fish ....it's a mass and takes longer and keeps you full.

B/c they have a higher fat content. Your tummy tells your brain, that you have eaten "high caloric food" and a hormone called lepton is released, which basically tells your brain, "Two bites of this burger is more filling than 10 bites of Angel Food cake". In fact, pple who are morbidly obese have a problem with their lepton, and doesn't send the brain signals about "being full".

Because some foods such as starches, i.e., breads, expand in your stomach, while others such as foods with fiber don't disolve as easily and sit there for longer.
