A Honda Civic, I have an 86 that's close to 300,000 miles and still doesn't use oil between changes. It runs great and drives good. I bought it for $300 and put about $1000 into it and have driven and driven it. I do keep up with the PMs, oil changes, timing belts, tune ups, ect.
I couldn't ask for a better car for the money. I have 30 years exp. doing car repairs and do ALL my own work. I can't see paying someone $90 p/hr to fix my car.
If you take of them right, Hondas are cheap everyday transportation.

HONDA IS THE MOST RELIABLE AND ECONOMICAL CAR IN MY OPINION. I HAVE HAD TWO. #1 WAS A 1985 CIVIC CRX. I TRADED IT IN ON MY 2000 CIVIC WHEN THE '85 HAD 350,000 MILE ON IT. BEAT THAT YOU NISSAN TOYOTA JUNKIES.

I would recommend a cavalier or a focus or an escort. They are as good as honda or toyota and easy to fix.

1995 or close Nissan Maxima. My family has had two, and they were wonderful cars. Sporty, fast, reliable, you name it.
