It's for my grandma, she loves puzzles and has a pretty good sense of humor for a 70 yr old! What do you think?

Haha, that's awesome. The only thing i would suggest is that if you are really close to her, get her that and something more meaningful, even if its small. Gag gifts are always good fun, but something that really touches someone is so much better.

In my opinion, no. I like puzzles and I have a good sense of humor and I thought it was stupid. If you give some one a gag gift you should always give them a real gift with it. As a stand alone gift I don't think its very good unless she is really senile or has a hamster.

I would give it as a gag, then suprise her with a nice useful gift that she can use, like one of those jar openers that help older folks get their food open. I swear that I was trying to open a jar of suarkraut the other day and I couldn't get the dang thing open. I just knew right then that when I get old I will probley starve to death just because I cant open jars unless I get a jar opener.

I think it is funny, but as a gag, I'd maybe do something like that and then get her a real puzzle to go along with it....but it's always good to get a laugh out of someone, as long as she knows you aren't serious.

I think it might work if you're aiming to get a laugh. To solve a 100,000 piece puzzle, she'd have to live to about 100 if she did 10 pieces a day.

That's awesome!! I like a good gag gift and that rates!

If Granny has a really good sense of humor tell her she can't die till she finishes it..then tell her to ensure you keep her around you took out a piece. :) hehe

I'm not sure that the 'gag' is going to be worth the expense.

She won't be able to do it, so the price is going to go for just whatever reaction she initially has to it. She might think it's cute, but it's even difficult for her to explain to others so that they can get the 'joke' too.
