One issue I have is that my Dad always ends up throwing out food I just bought because he can't tell if it's good or remember who bought it and when. He's a neat freak and always reorganizes the fridge. Since we're on different schedules we don't have time to stand in front of the fridge to sort it out every time, so he guesses. Whenever I ask if he's seen the item (lol i HAVE been known to accidently put milk in the pantry) he gets very defensive. So what I want to do while he's on vacation all week, is come up with a new creative plan/system to show him when he gets home instead of accusing again. I had the idea that whenever he cleans out, he could leave things he'd throw out on a special shelf for me to go through when I can, but I wanted to hear other more creative suggestions because he won't stick to something unless it's fun or practical. I already tried "assigned" shelves, but we also share a lot of foods where he might not think he'll eat anymore, but i'm still enjoying it.

Use some of those freezer sticker things and write your name on it or just write your name on your food some how and make it very visible.

How about marking the food container (or placing a strip of tape on it) with your name, the date you put it in the fridge, and the date you authorize him to throw it out? This extra effort might just impress him enough to leave it alone.

only accurate now even as grocery paying for, I picked up some handmade Ice Cream, i like the chocolate chip cookie dough & also the cookies and cream. i wanting to placed it again off because i'd devour the completed component this week. that could only bring about paying for it repeatedly, so i determined I only shouldn't get it. possibly for Christmas, i will purchase some to have on that weekend and seem at it like a Christmas manage only. I misplaced 40 lbs & it changed into in reality by using slicing out the ice cream, nuts, and larger butter popcorn i changed into interior the habit of indulging in on a daily basis.
