In the Bible, in Job 40:15-24, God describes to Job (who lived after the Flood) a great beast with which Job was familiar. This great animal, called ‘behemoth,’ is described as ‘the chief of the ways of God,’ perhaps the biggest land animal God had created. Impressively, he moved his tail like a cedar tree! Although some Bible commentaries say this may have been an elephant or hippopotamus, the description actually fits that of a dinosaur like Brachiosaurus. Elephants and hippos certainly do not have tails like cedar trees!

Actually, very few animals are singled out in the Bible for such a detailed description. Contrary to what many may think, what we know now as dinosaurs get more mention in the Scriptures than most animals! So dinosaurs—all the different kinds—must have lived alongside of people after the Flood.

Are Dinosaurs Mentioned in Ancient Literature?
Interestingly, the word ‘dragon’ is used a number of times in the Old Testament. In most instances, the word dinosaur could substitute for dragon and it would fit very nicely. Creation scientists believe that dinosaurs were called dragons before the word dinosaur was invented in the 1800s. We would not expect to find the word dinosaur in Bibles like the Authorized Version (1611), as it was translated well before the word dinosaur was ever used.

Also, there are many very old history books in various libraries around the world that have detailed records of dragons and their encounters with people. Surprisingly (or not so surprisingly for creationists), many of these descriptions of dragons fit with how modern scientists would describe dinosaurs, even Tyrannosaurus. Unfortunately, this evidence is not considered valid by evolutionists. Why? Only because their belief is that man and dinosaurs did not live at the same time!

However, the more we research the historical literature, the more we realize there is overwhelming evidence that dragons were real beasts, much like our modern reconstructions of dinosaurs, and that their existence has been recorded by many different people, even just hundreds of years ago.

A lot of people think the behemoth and the leviathan in Job are dinosaurs. Others believe it is a description of modern day animals such as the hippo. (leviathan) You be the judge. Before God created the world it was void and in darkness. Bible tells us this. If it was void of anything there could not have been dinosaurs before God did his handiwork. Humm, something to think about, isn't it? We also have no real idea of the time between His days or even years then because there were no written records until much much later. Were His days in reality actually years? Some claim the Bible has a lot of figurative and metaphoric writings. Some take it as it is. All in all it doesn't matter how it was written. What matters is what was written and what we get out of it.

The Bible isn't specific about dinosaurs.According to the Genesis account, animals were created during the fifth and sixth creative periods or "days".If the Hebrew expression translated "great sea monsters"(Hebrew tanninim') includes dinosaur, which often inhabited swampy, watery areas, this would mean that dinosaurs were created on the fifth "day"(Gen.1:21).We do not know whether they continued to exist until man was created (toward the close of the sixth "day")At the very latest it seems likely that they must have disappeared off the earth at the time of the flood of Noah's day.

Yes.

Though the bible does not call them 'Dinosaurs'. The word 'Dinosaurs' was invented by humans. Instead, God gave names such as Behemoth, Leviathan, and the very common Dragon.

For a start, refer to the book of Job, 40:15 - 18:

"See now, behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox. Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly. He moves his tail like cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together. His bones are like tubes of brass. His limbs are like bars of iron."

Eat grass, thick and strong limbs, massive size.

Sounds like our good ol' Brontosauraus?

Read through the Old Testaments, you'll find more about dinosaurs.

I can tell you more, and go into evolution, The Great Flood, etc if you want. The truth IS indeed in the bible.

The dinosaurs lived long before the bible so you wouldn't find any information.

Dinosaurs died out millions of years before the Bible was written and at that time nobody could read or understand the paleontological record. In other words, if and when dinosaur bones were found, nobody understood what that meant.

Dinosaurs aren't discussed in the bible - the fact that they existed millions of years ago wasn't known yet at the time it was written. Just more proof the bible is wrong.

Not again,
do you realy think the people did know about tiranosaurus rex and dinos 5000 to 2000 year ago, even if they did found some bones, what would they think about it ,judeo culture did not have science as you know it today to clasify something into categorys, that all is greek influence, specialy Aristotelus.
and why do you seek scientific answers in the bible, that is wrong, although there are historical facts in the bible , it is a thelogical book, and you can find theological explanations of Gods touch in human history.
For science go to the university, or library.

I dont know much about dinos or study them much
Yes I think you can find info on sorts and kind of creatures in Genesis and in Job think maybe as being of fowl life but more likely..They lay eggs such as do birds but these animals I think inhabited a place between the land and sea, wetlands as sealife has its own habitation. Before that time God had created the vine the grass, the herb the tree its fruit and seeds according to their kind on the land His work for the day. One dayHe he had created the land and sea saying "let the waters gather up into seas and let the dryland appear"So of I think this covers wetlands as a little plateau and and why the sea life came before the creatures on the land. the sea being habitated before the planted lands were habitated. and maybe a "crossover " period. He created after all that animals that move on the earth the cattle its kind, the creeping animals the wild animals each according to their kind so this covers a lot types of creatures. As also on that day(a period of time) He created man. Recently discovered is fossil of a sea cow( a manatee) has legs so moved from land to water, the remains are dated old as the dinos how much what time lapses for this movement or of the creation of the land and the seas things? My ex's argument against the Creation story having any truth was that fossils of mammals say a rodent had been found as old as the dino fossils but not a trace of man that was made on the same day.I said could it be at that time that man was in his sleep and( who knows that period of time) while God was making woman Anyway some rodents can swim and fly .Bats are mammals that flysome can also swim (and are endangered) Whales are mammals that live and swim in the sea(they are endangered because of the oil they produce.) Not all fowl can fly and some of them can swim. Crocodiles and alligators creep in the land and lurk in the water, very good swimmers too, i dont knowifall sankescanswim I think all turtles but I dont know of any in this category that can fly. My point is its evident that many creatures of land and water and air move about on land and/or sea, leave land to for sea habitats or sea to land habitats and from flying over the earth to swimming and moving on land and to land from flight to swimming or swimming and flight etc. Man has stayed in his habitat , though he can swim little. He can reason and fashion ways to cross oceans and fly across the whole the earth he can fly to the moon.Man was Gods greatest creation He made them in His image to dwell on the earth and take care of it He planted them a splendorous garden. He made man a helper comparable to him, God made no comparison,,to Him they were one and the same, male and female, (mayve misquoted He made the the sun and the moon and the stars and the sky for signs of day and night and days and months and years and seasons, and for wonders ie shooting stars, comets eclipses etc. so much to wonder of so great an expanse as the universe?Did man make this coincidence or was this his design?Man was told in the best way he could fathom for that time about a living changing planet made for him to be with God in just how special he was to Him and how loved and why things were going the way they were.Would seem today( meaning the time) that plaques are upon us but Im not going there you read please, revealations. Sorry for bouncing around here :o) Oh yes something that may be Noahs ark has been discovered .
