I see many religious and spiritual participants in Yahoo! Answers. Just now, I came across a user quoting extensively from his religious Book. I would like to know how effective or ineffective it is as a tool to convert non-believers. My own opinion is of no relevance at this point...

I would say that I am more knowledgeable of my own beliefs since using Yahoo! Answers, but not so much for what others have said, but in trying to get my own point across to the questioner. But I always approach something with an open mind, and I've learned allot about other religions that I hadn't known before.

With all the conflicting opinions, nobody would convert to any religion because of Yahoo. If anything they would leave religion.

i think some people chating here about reglious beliefs or thoughts do not think in such attitudes.. as ppl here said this site is not an authentic source ..if u wana think that way u should look for the authenticty.. but the only use is getting informed and let other ppl be informed about other religions and cultures in a try for constituting more open minded personality that would accept all humans what ever thoughts they bear..

I doubt if anyone has converted due to Yahoo Answers. And I think it should not be used to convert people. A lot of proselytizing people have in their heads that YA is some kind of a "ministry." Well, it's not!

people are not going to be converted by someone behind a computer screen. this is just an excuse to bash others.
