Vladimir Putin is very intelligent?

The Russian economy is growing fast and he has set so much up to speed it up that the economic growth is accelerating.

He has taken charge of Russia and is forcing it into the 21st century. He has a hefty corner of the energy market and is buying a larger slice of it. Europe and before long America will need that energy and be dependent on it!!!

America took it's eye off the ball. Russia is catching up economically but in terms of leadership Putin is coming on strong and making Bush look very vulnerable.

Russia is starting to look like an alternative leader to America.

China's economy is growing swiftly and their political influence is also growing.

Bush does not treat Europe fairly so Putin has a real chance to pull a number of european countries away from America and if he did Russia would be more powerful than America.

If Russia and China teamed up together in foreign policy matters they would certainly be joined by France and a number of other countries. That would force America into a very poor second place in the world.

It is time for America to wake up, stop dictating to everyone and start leading. The west needs a strong and sensible leadership from America but it is not getting it!

There is a strong chance that Putin could become the number one world leader in a very few short years.

Yes, but that does not mean he is or will be successful. Most intelligent people are very single minded.

What do you base your question on, human rights, foreign policy, social policy. None of these has really worked in Russia.

Well, I think he's smart for thinking Bush is a dumbass but other then that you can't say much for the guy.
