A Catholic Utterance
In a pamphlet entitled The Strength of the Mormon Position, the late Elder Orson F. Whitney, of the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, related the following incident under the heading "A Catholic Utterance":
Many years ago a learned man, a member of the Roman Catholic Church, came to Utah and spoke from the stand of the Salt Lake Tabernacle. I became well-acquainted with him, and we conversed freely and frankly. A great scholar, with perhaps a dozen languages at his tongue's end, he seemed to know all about theology, law, literature, science and philosophy. One day he said to me: "You Mormons are all ignoramuses. You don't even know the strength of your own position. It is so strong that there is only one other tenable in the whole Christian world, and that is the position of the Catholic Church. The issue is between Catholicism and Mormonism. If we are right, you are wrong; if you are right, we are wrong; and that's all there is to it. The Protestants haven't a leg to stand on. For, if we are wrong, they are wrong with us, since they were a part of us and went out from us; while if we are right, they are apostates whom we cut off long ago. If we have the apostolic succession from St. Peter, as we claim, there is no need of Joseph Smith and Mormonism; but if we have not that succession, then such a man as Joseph Smith was necessary, and Mormonism's attitude is the only consistent one. It is either the perpetuation of the gospel from ancient times, or the restoration of the gospel in latter days."

The "right" religion is the one you chose to follow. The reason there are so many is that everything on the physical plane of existence is relative, even the various religions. The point of religion is to ultimately move one beyond religion [which is essentially an emotional/intellectual attachment] and toward God [which is an inward process of discovery], but this inward step is rarely taken, particularly in the West.

Everyone ISN'T wrong. Whatever religion works best for you (and them) is the right one. No religion is better than another. Frankly, all religion is a waste of time in my opinion, but if it helps a person then it's right for them. Whatever the religion.

They are neither wrong nor right in a scientific sense. The whole basis of religion is that it is a belief, it is taken on faith. People can take anything on faith, but it doesn't make it true. Most likely none of the religions are true... in that they are not literally or physically correct in any way.

there is no truly correct religion because all religions are taught by the word of man therefore they can not explain the exact meaning of the bible or any other religious books so what i would suggest is that u follow what u belive to be the right path to heaven or where ever u belive in.

No religion is correct. Religion functions only to answer questions that the people cannot answer with current technology. It is nothing more than a sociological function that provides answers for the "unanswerable".

Since most of the religions are more or less the same, I don't think there is a right one. In South Park the mormons were right. :))

Catholic is the one true religion becuase in each person there is a longing for spirituality, and Catholic seems to be the only religion that perfectly meets that need.

There is no such thing as a right religion. Either they are all right in some way or we're just waisting our time with religion all together.
