I heard of a company in europe that makes and sells generators for about 12k. is it bs or are they just greedy corp. jerks realizing that if they just made one big enough it could solve the worlds energy crisis. No magnetic detereoration was claimed.

Yes you can build a machine that is seemingly perpetual, using the power of magnets. The catch is that no magnet is know to last forever. Further, It takes a huge amount of energy to create a good magnet. In essence, you are building a type of "battery" (stored energy device).

You pretty much need some type of energy input to overcome any friction. Remove the friction and you have a perpetual motion machine.

This can be shown to be so, if you agree with Isaac Newton's First Law of Motion, which states:

Objects in motion tend to stay in motion, and objects at rest tend to stay at rest unless an outside force acts upon them.

See sources for an in depth look at Newton's First Law of Motion:

no you could't have a perpetual action gadget - the guidelines of thermodynamics forbid it you're able to have magnetic bearings which let a rotor in a vacuum spin utilising little or no skill, yet you could't get skill from no longer some thing

It's been tested extensively. The answer is no, at least not without some power going in to it. Magnets do deteriorate when forced to repel each other.

Are you referring to magnets and electricity like they use in Disney world?

no, friction still is a concern for these magnets.

a "true" frictionless surface is something that if you made a toilet out of you would never have to flush.

Maybe if you use it in space it might work. Good luck with that.
