Why does anyone have to rewrite the Bible? It is based on the truth of God isn't it? It's been the most popular and best seller throughout...there is no need at all.

OK I will rewrite the bible.
*Ahem*
"Chapter 1: Live life the way you desire, believe what you wish, and act upon what you think is an ethical decision. Don't abide by people that tell you to live your life differently just because they have their own sentiments. Everyone is dissimilar. Live with it."
The End
I'm sorry if that is offensive to some of you religious people, but I'm just living life the way I want. Hopefully you are too.

Why not take the lead - since the bible was written by mere mortals, then you should be able to write it any way that you want.
People use the bible as a basis for killing just as an excuse. It is easy to excuse your actions if you blame something that is not alive.

Rewriting the Christian bible would not help the situation in the Middle East, nor would it stop Al Qaida, nor would it stop hate, murder and crime around the globe.

Ummm, the Koran isn't a book in the Bible.
The Bible (especially the New Testament) doesn't condone killing.

every true scriptures orignated from the heart based on the self experiences of the enlightened soul, but as a matter of fact bible is not like that, since not authored by jesus himself, more over as pointed by jesus '' first of all u enter into the kingdom of heart'' who does so and act as per his advice, then how they claim they r true followers of christ even-without exploring their heart, yes bible can be rewritten only by the selfrealised person is any body there whom u know?better discover urself by entering within and experience the real truth.

I think no need to re-write the bible. Want we need is to fulfill, like the coming of Jesus the second time around.

Yea, replace Jesus's name with Mao Ze Dong. Mao gave food and shelter to over 1 billion people and he did not claim to be son of God (or prophet of Allah!)!
