Because many people who are "outspoken" don't think before they talk! They come off as rude, brash, semi-civilized and as a would be "know it All". This goes for men or women. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you have to plaster everyone with it! When you do, your intended audience doesn't even hear what you said because your action in being outspoken has overshadowed it! It also makes one seem as not too intelligent, and lacking in manners. I find loud outspoken women embarrassing, not intimidating, and who wants to be around someone who is embarrassing? If we are in a private setting then it is different. I like for a woman to have her own opinions, but she needs to know when to speak and when to refrain from speaking. Most people who are outspoken are often loud and obnoxious. Outspokenness is usually turned into argumentativeness, and guys don't like to argue. Also, to have an opinion just for the sake of being contrary, is totally immature! A scripture from the Old Testament book of proverbs says," even a fool is counted as wise when he holds his piece".

If you are being outspoken in a stand-up kind of way and you are not belittling someone else in the process, you will eventually find that person who loves and respects that about you and please, Don't sacrifice your morals; But if you are being outspoken about other people's business in a harsh, belligerent, hurtful, manipulating or obnoxious kind of way, then, nobody likes that in anybody and you could spend a lifetime finding that someone who finds it funny or admirable or lovable. Try to find a place where that outspokeness could truly benefit someone else, like some charity you're impassioned about and put that energy to work! God Bless You!

Usually, very out spoken people tend to be overly blunt. While honesty is a good thing, sometimes being to direct is hurtful and inconsiderate to others. It can make you seem like you lack empathy.

Well this doesn't go for every one, But In my opinion some people are not Outspoken because for certain Reasons. Now depending on how much of a problem that Reason is to that person will determine how much the person will dislike this characteristic in you.

Everyone is different - some will enjoy it, some won't care for it.
How outspoken are you? There is a lot to be said for thoughfulness and showing respect for others - it can show maturity which guys like too ( you will also have more mature guys interested in you).
"Outspoken" - can be an excuse for immaturity and self centeredness. Be careful - value others more than yourself.

Sometimes "out spoken" is taken as being over assertive and even bitchy. You may want to tone it down a bit and see if that helps.

Sometimes "out spoken" is used by girls who are mean
and think everyone should just "get over it". If you are
nice, being confident is perfectly fine and people will
treat you kindly.
