Moses taught his followers God's Name. He told them to call on it and to use it. Moses taught that this Name is God's forever. It is an important Name.
Exodus 3:15
"God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'YaHWeH, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you ' This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations."
The words "allah", "god", "elohim", "lord" or any equivalent are not names of God no matter how much somebody believes them to be. "Allah" is the English eqivalent of the word "God". That is not a name but a word to describe what the supreme being is in relation to His creation.
God revealed what His Name is to Moses. Each prophet of God after Moses used the Name of God and taught it to their followers. Yet Muhammad does not mention it. Muhammad does not teach his followers the Name of God. It is one of the signs that would show Muhammad to be a true prophet.

Why did God made a covenant with Abraham, when he did not know the TRUE NAME of God? After all it was Moses who was given the "TRUE NAME". Does it matter in the final analysis.
A baby who is two months old may not know the true name of his or her mom, but who knows who the mom is. Know it that all names came after language was created. All languages were created after humans were created. Regardless of how powerful and true the name is, ultimately it is just a name, not the essence of the HOLY ONE, which can not be captured in a mere name.
So, rise and see that labels are labels. Please do not presume from this that I do not respect the names of the LOFTY ONE!! ANYTHING that is associated with HIM, ALMIGHTY, by the association itself becomes HOLY. Just as iron which touches the magnet acquires its properties.
Allah from AL-ILAH or THE GOD is as expressive in its own way as I AM WHO I AM. Both are powerful and true. One was given earlier than the other, but even in the Hebrew scripture time and again the initial letters of ALLAH or El we used in the names of the Angels, in the names of people and places. EL is the front part of the total name.
All Muslims know that there is a SECRET NAME of the MOST HIGH which was not divulged except to the select few. The Prophet has mentioned in many instances that the Lord has many names.
You can call your mom by any of the many names: Mother, mum, Mummy, Mom, Mommy.... she would know who you are calling and you know who is being called. Whether you call her by her formal name or even know the name (in case of babies and very young children) does not even matter.
So think in those lines too.

El and YHWY ( Elohim and Yahweh) are both deities from the Cannanite pantheon that predates the existence of the Jews as an independent tribal entity. Jew's were originally Cannanites which is why their language is derived from the Canannite language. El was the father of the Gods, YHWY was one of his sons and El's Cupbearer. YHWY's mother Asherah later became his consort. Allah is believed to be derived from El. El as a name had numerous different forms expressed as a suffix eg Elohim, El Shaddai which described different aspects of the god.

The word GOD was used in cultures thousands of years ago and in many Greek and Roman cultures and others it was the symbol of many superpowers ..God of love God of fertility God of sea ….bla bla bla… the same word which is used to describe the superpower ..which has an equivalent in every other language (in meaning off course) because that is sense to talk to the people in the language they understand..
Why this word God was used because as I said it refers to SUPER powers or traits which is the closest to supreme entity.. which conveniently suits the lords own description of himself in his words ..
Another point u said that Mohammed did not teach his followers the lords names.. in fact he taught them every single attribute and name ( the number they could learn from Quran is 99 name ) .. but if we supposed that Mohammed did not teach them so.. the road for followers of Islam is Open wide and they can teach themselves every single thing they wonder about ..because unlike ( Church which convienced Christians that they need a mediation with the Lord – just for their benefits-) holy texts was never a monopoly of one Man ..and mediation between man and his creator is not acceptable by any human.. the prophets is only a guide and human have to work on using his own mind and thoughts to reach as much as knowledge of his Holly Existence as he can ( that is the only reason we were created for)

he told his man that god's name is Allah. but does not mean that itz only an Arabic term for god. because if that's the case, den every Arabs would address their god as Allah since they spoke Arabic. Then christians, jewish, muslims, Buddhist, Hindus would all call their god Allah right?God has 2000 over different names in 2000 over different languages. So since he's an Arabic, he would naturally tell his followers that god's name is Allah. Of cuz he also mentioned that god has some 99 names ie: most gracious, most merciful, creator, destroyer, lord so on and so forth..

do you REALLY know the true name of "GOD"? did he or she e-mail it to you? the bible was written by people and so was the Qu'oran and every other religious text. "god" was there before all this and it doesn't matter what the name is, because names are a human invention and "god" "allah" "the lord" "the higher power" whatever you need to call it was here long before "names" existed. just get over yourself and get along with people. use the messages in the bible for unity, not devisiveness.

Yes gary!. God is the most ultimate and almighty and he is not a creature or a creation to be named just like we have been named by our creator. Islam beleives in one god only. That what the word 'Allah' also represents, the almighty. So it would be baseless to have a name for the only one.

There are 100 names of Allah(SWT). We have been made privy to 99 of them. The Jews were given a considerable number of them i.e., El Shaddai, Emmanuel, etc.
The names of Allah (SWT). are in like manner, attributes of Allah(SWT). (Ar-Rahman= most compassionate, Al- Rahim=Most merciful). They are recited by some Muslims. It is called dhikring (thickering) "to thicker the names of Allah(SWT)".
This done 33 times for each name, keeping count on beads. It can be done anywhere, anytime.

Islamic terrorism is inspired by Islamic teachings. We can never get rid of Islamic terrorism unless we defeat the ideology behind it and that is Islam itself. Islam induces hate backed by lies. Muhammad was a terrorist by his own admission. All Muslims, to the extent that they follow him, are terrorists. Those Muslims who are not terrorists are ignorant of Islam and are not good Muslims. Fortunately they are the majority. We need to rescue them. If you are a good human being, you are not a Muslim. Read this site and if you can't prove me wrong, which you certainly can't, leave this deceitful cult of hate and terror and join mankind. Don't be part of the Umma. Umma is fascism. It is divisive. It induces the hatred of others. Be part of humanity instead. Your ignorance is not an excuse. Pull your head out of the sand and face the truth, like we did.
Faith Freedom International is a grassroots worldwide movement of ex-Muslims and all those who are concerned about the rise of the Islamic threat. We want to bring humanity together, not by introducing yet another doctrine, which always ends up dividing mankind more, but by eliminating the doctrines that divide us. We want to abolish this evil 'Muslim vs. Kafir" dichotomy. Mankind is one family. Don't let narcissist men like Hitler and Muhammad sunder us with their big lies. Don't become the victim of the "divide and rule" policy of a psychopath.
Faith Freedom stands for freedom of faith. We are against Hate, not Faith. We revere human rights not human beliefs. We endeavor to be factually correct, not politically correct.
Do your part! Let this message out. Let us eradicate Islam and bring mankind together - the way God intended. Islam is the cancer of humanity. We can get rid of it. There is nothing we humans can't do. Mountains move aside to make way for those who are determined.

Correct!! "allah" "el" "eloah" "elohim" are all generic TITLES for God, but NOT his holy name--YAHWEH.... Allah is derived from "al-ilah" which means "the god" therefore allah is NOT gods name..but a generic title. the arabic word Allah is NOT compatible in any of the hebrew scriptures>
