My boyfriend really loves me, but sadly, he told his parents he wants to be with me the rest of his life, and they don't approve because of religion. It feels like it could take forever to get their acceptance, and to top it off, they don't speak English and live 18 hrs away in another country. We broke it off because it would not be fair to me to have to wait for him, and for them to MAYBE change their mind. He said, if I don't meet anyone else, and he will still talk to his parents about his feelings for me, that one day, he can promise to be with me forever. I don't want to wait for him, but I don't want it to be over with either. We love each other dearly, and we have to end it because he wants to make his mom and dad happy, even if he is not happy. I am very sad. I don't know what to do. I am depressed, not motivated, I love him more than any man, I don't know what to do.

First of all, how old are you guys??? If your old enough to make your own decisions, then make them!!!! His parents dont even live in this country so who cares what they want. I mean your boyfreind wants to make his parents happy then fine but how is he ever gona move on with his life by waiting for the right person for them to come around. Does that really make any sense??? Sounds like a bunch of crap if you ask me. And chances that his parents dont speak any english which also means they probably want him to meet someone from the same nationality. If you guys reallly love each other then why would you let this ruin your relationship?? And if its that easy to let go over something like this then your relationship wasnt too serious to begin with. Tell him one last time how you feel about the situation. And if the first words out of his mouth are " but my parents" then leave his dumb *** and find someone who is willing to show you off to his whole family bcuz he loves you for what you are. And it shouldnt matter what anyone else thinks about your relationship. Its sooo obvious that your boyfriend lives in his moms womb. The right question to ask would be "Does your boyfriend wipe his own *** or does his mom still do it for him"??? Good luck with this one!!!!

seeems once again religion tears things apart. get a hobby and don't jump into dating others right away. if he chooses to listen to his parents then he deserves to lose you. true love knows no bounds!
