Why is ignorance so funny?

Your question is unique. I have never heard your question or ever thought of ignorance as funny. Of course, the first thing I thought of after reading it was a time when I wrote some really dumb things about others who, with patience and understanding, convinced me that my claims against them were factually wrong, inconsistent and amounted to opinion. My sheer ignorance and lack of feelings about some people drove me to shame.
I, like everyone else, have known a few very, very ignorant folks; however, empathy I derived from my mother and father held me from feeling anything but embarrassment in their presence. I'm not sure why I feel embarrassment of other's ignorance, but, I have honestly never found it funny except when a good comedian is on his/her mark.

Becouse an ignorant person will talk confidently abt something and in the end it turns out to be all wrong so it's funny in a sad way
