I thought that it was 100% African, but now I am not so sure.

Well i guess mostly africans do it because their hair is thicker and easier to braid...but that doesn't mean that caucasians can't do it either. It looks nice on both.

well thats where it originated but now other races are liking the style just like africans like straight hair
