You should know China's army outnumbers all others at least 15 to 1 in numbers. Now in technology, its the USA all the way, and Japan's military has been limited to 100,000 total force since the end of WW II. The Soviet Union, now again Russia, had a financial breakdown about 7 years back and won't recover this decade for sure, or maybe the next 20 years. But, both China and Russia will sit and watch the outcome in the middle east, and I admit, it will be interesting, just so its not "WW III" Study the 67 wars between Israel and the other countries, which included a very large Egyptian military force then. But, don't turn a blind eye toward N Korea, or they'll blacken the other eye!

Everyone I talk to is afraid of the Israelis. I mean even the womem there have mandatory service times and they're not just clerks or anything they carry small arms and do all the front line stuff.

I mean imagine how good your army would be if all the neighbouring countries around you thought that you did not have a right to exist. They have been trying to finish them off for a couple thousand years or so but the went from being slaves in Eygpt to destroying entire airports on forgein soil for two kidnapped soldiers. Sure the US got Jessica Lynch back but they didn't even damage the front door. These guys mean business, they send a tank in when there are preteens throwing stones. Masters of overkill, give them a wide berth.

A close second is the Chinese army. Most countries don't have enough bullets to stop all the Red Army soldiers if they decided to march. If you engaged the Chinese army you would have to kill off the last 5 million of them with rocks, they sharper the better.

No contest, USA followed by Israel. Japan has only a small local defense force, regularly stomped by Godzilla and other big lizards by the way. China has a large force but totally lacks the ability to get them anywhere outside of China, no navy to speak of. North Korea has a large but antiquated force, those missiles they were firing last week were 1940's technology and Russia's army is neglected and drastically underfunded. USA in a walk.

Israel has the 3rd best airforce in the world. Pretty impressive for a country the size of NJ.

I would say each army you mention has its own strengths. For exmaple, China has sheet numbers. As great as the american armed forces are - they would be tough to beat.

Over all - the best all around would be America and the UK.

Next comes China and Korea.

Last - russia and Israel

The US has the best equipped and trained Army by far.

We are not the largest - both North Korea and China has larger standing armies. The North Korean army is basically cannon fodder. In a war with the US, I believe 3/4th of them would perish.

Russia is so under-funded it's laughable

Korea has a 1,000,000 man army but 70% of that army consists of farmers standing in their fields starving.

Japan, does the term "fisher price" mean anything to you?

Israel is top notch, but relies too heavily on other countries for R&D of new weapson platforms and intelligence. They would have a much harder time without USA.

Best when considering all facets of the Army like Budget, R&D, Weaponry, Intelligence and all--that would be, handsdown, USA. But Army like individual soldier capability in battle stripped of technology then that's a tough call.

No one has got the best army becuase every army losing men and a war no matter how well your trained
1.The British army is the best trained and will stand and fight till death.
2.The Chinese has the biggest army.
3.The American army has possibly the best technology.

North Korea's army is the most impressive looking in my opinion. But I guess it doesn't matter how well trained you are if someone else can drop a bomb on you and kill everyone.

North Korea. 1 million of the most loyal and dedicated soldiers, willing to sacrifice their lives for their dear psychotic leader.

NK also has the largest special forces in the world at over 100,000 members.

They also have enough artillary to destroy Seoul and Tokyo in matter of hours, which is why South Korea and Japan are scared to death.

Before anyone underestimates them... remember we underestimated them in 1950. They captured Seoul (South's capitol) in 3 days and 90% of the southern peninsula in 30 days.
