What kind of work outs do you perform?
My daughter & I have watched football camp, and they don't do half of what they do in soccer camp.
She's challenged football jocks who knock soccer to see if they can keep up with her during her training. No takers, so far.

So, big mike, are you saying you actually play football, or just shooting your mouth.
And, a 3 hour workout routine is a little more grueling than running a TE pattern.

Actually, Brent, I got hooked watching my first indoors game. It's played on a WAY smaller game field, therefore much faster paced.
And, even if Portland did have a pro NFL team here, do you think I'd waste my money on those guys' over-blown salaries?
I don't even go to the Blazers' games for that reason.
I like to watch pro-football on tv 'cause I grew up a Vikings fan, but I won't buy a ticket to a stadium.

look buddy, don't take it personally, we have colleges that play football and baseball and are basically farm teams for the pro's. we grew up on baseball and football and had local teams that go back over one hundred years in baseball for example and soccer is usually a national team and there fore all you got. That is why soccer don't work bub.
plus the real reason that is not admitted because it is potential dynamite is: that inner city kids play basketball, football and then baseball here in the best country in the world, the good old U friggen S friggin A !!!! Therefore there is little to no real intrest and if there is any structured soccer in the inner cities it is replaced with football by junior high or highschool.
so there you go, not to mention that it is a long boring game with little action or drama except if there is a penalty kick to decide it all.
Basicly soccer is for ladies not lads and men. sorry but if you could have a professional nfl team to be in your hometown then you would be hating soccer too and you know it!!!

I don't rip soccer, but I prefer basketball and American football over it, but I actually enjoy all sports. I've not had the chance to play soccer much, but I like being goalie. As a fielder I always get hit in the face by the ball after someone blasts it with all their might. Doesn't feel very good...

Soccer is one of the most strenuous and demanding sports out there. Real athletes recognize this, without having to play it.

I like soccer, but we sports fans are not on drugs or have any type of mental incapacitation, like the ones you see overseas that like to start bon fires and riots in the stands for no particular reason. Especially those people who think that losing a meaningless, exhibition, preseason game is the end of the world to them. Now those are the kind of people you really want to be afraid of being around. They act like church people who cry and yell at the ceiling because they did one small thing wrong. Geez, no wonder soccer is not that popular in the U.S. It's just a game people, get over it.

Oh, for other sports, I love hockey. Being a Southern California native, I know hockey is the best game to enjoy playing and watching in person. And I learned the game by myself when I was growing up there 20+ years ago. For those of you who wants to say, "good for you", like don't waste your time saying that to me. Stupid people would be saying that to me.

Ask your daughter to run an "in pattern" as a TE across the middle into LB coverage.

You won't have to worry about soccer practice any more, Pops.

Love the game. Other sports too and have for years. Not the athlete I once was, lately i've been playing a lot of "spank the monkey" (laughing MAO)...why would anybody waste time "not liking" a sport? Except maybe figure skating.

hockey and lacrosse. Use to play high school football.

EDIT: Why do soccer fans care about what others think of their sport anyways?
