First and foremost, in a much more global world we live in today, Israel is and has been our most dependable friend and ally. Israel is not a terrorist nation, but they have been fighting terrorists for their entire exsistence. At a time when our friend needs us most in the fighting of terror, any message from us that we have backed down would send the wrong message to the world, both our friends, our enemies and those who are somewhere in between.

Love him or hate him, Bush said something very important a few years back when he stated that nations are either against terrorism or they are with the terrorists. We have an obligation to back that up and that will be good for us. Israel's attackers are terrorists and they are backed by the likes of Syria and Iran, who are certainly no friends of ours.

Even more important, it is vital to understand that Israel has been for us a buffer to the realities of what needs to be done in that region for our best interests. Israel does things that we as a nation can not do and get away with. In other words, Israel does the dirty work of keeping things deflected from us, while we neither condone nor condemn what they do. Without us directly keeping people in the middle east in check, Israel is able to do it for us, with an understanding in the middle east, that if Israel threatens something, they will do it and mean to do it. We may slap their wrist, but in the background we give them a high 5. They are the antithesis of an extremely weak UN.

When you understand what the Arab world wants to do with Israel, I think any human being with a heart of compassion will help Israel. This has nothing to do with religion.

The Arabs which surround Israel have one agenda from the very first day that Israel became a nation and that is to wipe Israel from the face of the earth.

In my opinion, all nations should defend Israel but it seems that United States is the only one who has the moral conscience to do the right thing.

Because Israel controls America and the Americans (most) are just slaves to the idea of the rapture that Paul (Christianity corruptor) invented long time ago so Christians will be servants to the Jews all the time to the end (building the temple). Israel is the “The Abomination of Desolation”, and America is “Babylon the great”, and both will have horrendous punishments for their crimes against Muslims (saints) and against humanity soon as per your Bible. Your faith made you blind; don't you have a brain to think that God is Just and will not accept your crimes because of your racial faith? Is there a wise person among you? Wake up; your Bible is against you, study it without predetermined concepts of racial superiority and discrimination. All people came from the same parents (Adam and Eve) and only in doing good deeds for the sake of God people should be classified.

because Israel is the holyland and they have a bunch of terrorist scum attacking it. Israel has full right to fight back say if Canada or Mexico had 30 thousand missiles pointing at the united states and threatened to shoot them the united states wouldn't sit around and call them bluff we would blow them half way to kingdom com.

Since you put this in the religion category I'm sure you already know the answer. ;) (or at least know what some will say) The Bible says to pray for the peace of Israel and those who support her will be blessed. It is in our best intrest to take Israel's side.

The Israelis didn't attack the Trade Center, Muslims did. The Palestinians were dancing in the streets. Israel is our strongest ally. We should support them to the max.

first of all...they..i.e. the allies ( US, UK and some Europe countries) created the country of Israel after the 2nd WW. They felt that it is their to duty to defend them, though other allies other then US has no mean to support them ...so it becomes sort of US duty alone.
Secondly...there are a lot..a lot of Jews in US ..who are.. zillioners..not.. billioners..controlling the US politics behind the scene.
And finally...US felt great and powerful to be everywhere to show-off their strength.
