I was taking martial arts a few years ago, and I've found that it hurts for me to stand on my tippy toes, or to extend the ball of my foot in anyway. It hurts the arch of my foot. I went in for a spa pedicure recently, and I flipped out and started crying when the person doing the pedicure touched just slightly the arch of my foot. The only thing is, I'm only afraid of my feet. Your feet don't bother me in the least. Is this strange?

Please be kind. This may seem like a silly problem, because it deals with feet, but it's a real problem for me.

Dear Friend, This isn't strange, but I suspect some serious problem in your feet. Please consult an Orthopaedic Surgeon immediately. You might even be having a fracture or a ligament tear. Who knows? Don't take chances and get medical care soon. Kindly keep me posted on what happened.

There are two issues here, that you need to resolve.

The first is that your description shows us that you have problems with the arches of your feet, a probable dislocation suggest itself, which is compounded by neglect from a long time.

Then, there is a neurotic phobia that's seemed to have developed due to this root.

While people here can give general and home remedy; I would advise you to seek Professional help, soon; since this could escalate and really have you going neurotic.

Like the Doctor there said, he's a General Practitioner, while you need Specialist's help.

My suggestion is that you had better see a good Specialist ASAP.

Start touching your feet more. Your just going thur a freaky little faze and you have made a big deal out of your feet. I go thur things like that. Like when I start I freak out like I'm going to bleed to death or when I get a cold I'm scared I'm going to stop breathing. Just make yourself get over it and don't make it a BIG problem. Start touching your feet. look at your feet all the time. What happen is when you had the pain in your foot you wigged out about it. You have the power to control your thoughts.
When ever I do something like that I force myself to do it and forget about it and don't stress on it. Get more pedicures and let them touch your feet..
You'll be ok
Mind over matter

It sounds like you need to have your back looked at ... Your legs and feet can be very sensitive if you have back problems, especially regarding sensitivity. Touching pressure points on your feet are associated via your nervous system with parts of your brain, again via your back and if your spinal column is under pressure or slightly damaged these pressure points can evoke emotional feelings.
So.. no there is nothing wrong with you but you should consider getting your back checked out.

I've known people personally afraid of balloons and sporks. Irrational fears are wierd, sure, but you're not alone. I also find how inflammable and flammable mean the same thing wierd.

Could be that you're getting a bit emotially devastated (pro word choice) from all the pain, you're afraid of your feet because they hurt you. I'm no psychatrist, though.

It sounds like some people have given some good advice... so Love, don't pay a bit of attention to those who act like fools and say dumb @ss things on here. Don't let their words hurt you. It's what they want & why give them that power? The best thing you can do is ignore their ignorance.

Take care, Love, & Good Luck.
