THE RULE: Guys make 1st move and pay for first date. Girl should be polite, offer once to split the 1st date check. Guy tells her no, says its his pleasure, and pays for it. As the dating continues, girl should offer and actually pay for dates occassionally, especially if she has a job/income. Or perhaps guy pays for dinner, girl pays for movie or whatever afterwards, that kind of thing. LADIES, there are enough women who pay for dates sometimes or go 50/50, that most men won't stay with abgirl who expects the guy to pay always, unless she is just awesome in bed. I think a woman who can plan a date and pay for it is far above the rest..
Almost all of my dates will offer to pay or split a date 50/50 by the 3rd date. Thats because I date educated women with jobs who want to be treated as equals, thus they act as equals. Most of them will pick me up frequently as well for the date.
GUYS: If you think you have to ALWAYS pay and that all she hasta to do is look pretty and blink her eyes at you, you are a schmuck who is getting taken

WOW do they really do that that's never happened to me it would really shock me if i was on a date and the girl wanted to pay
i guess its alright guys have been paying forever but this is confusing to me it would make me wonder why. See you just cant figure out women. Would she want to see me again if i let her pay. have you ever paid for a dinner date?

If it is a blind date or someone that you met on the internet, then she should pay for half.
If it is someone that I have known long enough to know how much money she makes and it is a lot less than what I make and I picked the restaurant and it is expensive and she spent an hour telling me how her deadbeat ex-husband isn't paying child support and her child's medical bills are so high that she is going to disconnect the cable tv. . .
Yeah, then it bothers me.

RESPECT! my gal...bcos most gals expect guys to pay for dinner dates.
in this generation now, all man and woman r equal but we do still respect that guys should do the honour, right!

in this day and age i think it is nice for a girl to pay half of the time. however on the first couple of dates the dude should pay. when you are futher into your relationship, thats when things should become equal.

Provided you know the girl well, it O.K ! Please don't make it a habit and take advantages. This will reflect your character and you may stand no chance of getting her. Even she earned more than you, you also cannot always make her pay when going out.
After married then is a different story.

times have changed, it dont matter who pays. taking turns would be good, an excuse for the next date...lol.
whatever, as long as there's respect for each another...and i mean respect and being confortable with each another's company and going home happy and looking forward to the next one is a good thing to look forward.

Doesn't bother me but I almost always insist.
My mom was a feminist but raised me to always pay.
