ravana was not only a brahmin but a favourite of lord shiva. his wrong doing is that he coverted another man's wife and was so full of pride of his kidnapping of her that he put a whole nation in danger.

Yeah..you are right..But in those days too, there were brahmins who breached their code of conduct.In Ravana's case, though he was a brahmin, he was a Kshatriya since he wanted to rule the entire Universe.

The second mistake of Ravana was his inexplicable lust for Sita..and both these brought his downfall..Otherwise Ravana was a pious god -fearing, caring Brahmin.

every things teach us some good thing,It show how ravana's sensous mind destroyed him inspite of living in royalty.
