this question has been on here so many times...and I'm not a Christian clone robot! I am a human being with my own mind, my own feelings and my own faith. my answer to this question would be...if God can do all things then there is no rock God can create too heavey for Hiis own powers. in His world, weight is not even a problem, call it if you will, in revelations, it says "the sun and the moon and the stars all fled in His presence for there was no place for them in His greatness" what does that tell you.

I read all the above answers and it seems no one wants to answer you on your own level.

I can see that you are seeking, so I will answer your question the way you wrote it and in the way that you are seeking.

So, yes, God could create a rock he cant lift, BUT even if he did do that, as all is possible with GOD, he could still destroy it by reducing it to ashes, thus enabling himself to lift it quite easily.

Hope this helps peak your interest in GOD a bit more, and keep seeking, you will find what you are searching for.

You probably realize your question includes an insult. Why use Yahoo Answers to belittle a group of people? As an aside, I notice your avatar is dark skinned. If you'd ever truly been opressed, I'd expect some sympathy. Eh, maybe not. God bless you anyways.

Don't confuse strength with power.

Aside from the fact that this question is asked slightly less that "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?", I was bored when I first heard this question in Father Giles' Religion class. Back in 1962.

Dougie Boy,
First of all Christians aren't cloned, they are born-again. They are thinkers, free, and free thinkers... I heard that any dead fish can float down stream, but it takes a live one to swim upstream. ...And you call us robots... you are the one floating with the "spirit of the age." Listening to your peers, not the tug of your heart.
To your question:
Cannot and will not are two different things. He has the power to do anything He chooses. He chooses not to, because He is more interested in bringing people to know Him, He really doesn't need to prove Who He is.
Remember-- "There is nothing so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength."
-- author unknown (When you know you have it, you don't have to prove it. You have a quiet confidence.)

Same with God.
He knows:
He is. (pause)
Strong.
He knows:
He is. (pause)
Gentle.
He knows:
You are. (pause)
Important to Him.

LOL!...One thing for sure...You Don't Know GOD!....and you need a SPIRITUAL MIND!....If you were Spiritually Educated then you wouldn't be asking "FOOLISH" & UNLEARNED QUESTIONS!...(2 Timothy 2: 23).......PS. It would be to your benefit to start going to church and sit up under a good teaching ministry (Eph. 4: 11-16), after all, that's why GOD put the ministry in operation so you can learn about GOD!...It's Simple!......."With GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE" (Matt. 19:26)

That is like the one of the oldest questions around. Like trying to debate how many angels can fit on the head of a pin.

The simple answer is NO

With God all things are possible.
Now this is simple: The preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that perish, but everlasting life to those that believe.
