There was a US military operation going on during 9/11, it's called when terrorists fly planes into buildings, the MILITARY scrambles fighters to protect US cities & puts the NAtional Command system on alert as though it were a nuclear attack (cause that's all the plan we had). The military did an exceptional job that day, all the way down to merchant marine cadets evacuating citizens from Manhattan by boat. Any other consipiracy you want to fool yourself with is disgraceful & disproven.
First of all, there is absolutely no point in the US doing this to themselves. The President sent special operations troops immediately into Afghanistan - he didn't need 9/11 for that, al quaeda had jsut struck teh USS Cole 8 months before with no retaliation. He could have freely invaded Afghanistan 20 minutes after he was sworn in, w/o congressional approval & w/o any help from anyone in the world. Iraq also got no boost form 9/11. You do recall the world refused to go with us & the justification was more about WMDs than al queada? The president could have also done that, including approval from congress, w/o 9/11. In short, there is no reason for the US to have done such a thing, and if it had been ordered to anyone in the military, praticularly special operations personnel, that order would have been refused viciously & the person giving it would be in need of some medical care. Such retarded conspiracies are a disgracful affront to the people that died that day & since, and they aid terrorists in winning a PR campaign among the American people. So stop it & grow up. Go look at the pearl harbor conspiracy theories that flowed around for a while & see how silly they seem now.

According to several progams I've seen, there was no military operation during 9/11. In fact, I think the military was off. If you remember the F-16's flying over NY sveral hours after the two planes hit the WTC, they were from some Midwest (I think) state Air National Guard Unit, and they had just completed a training mission, and they were unarmed. I think that these were the only two to protect the entire Eastern Seaboard. As for the guy in charge, he was sitting in a Florida classroom having a kid read to him, or is it the other way around. But he did not get up to find out more when an aide informed him that the first tower was hit.
If you want to know something really strange, the only flight allowed in or out of the United States within the first 48 hours after the WTC was hit was the flight carrying the Bin Laden family out of the US. This flight was reportedly approved by Gee Dubya himself.

Those that believe we are too powerful and perfect and that we would have to attack ourselves.are morons. You'd believe anything if you believe that.
Attacking our own pentagon would be like slicing your ribcage with a knife to fake being in a fight, except you end up puncturing a lung. There is absolutely no motive for any part of our government to do this, except for the ones you've made up in your head.
Also, don't pay attention to some of the far-fetched propaganda out there like the "loose change" video. I've seen a few like this one, and they all sound very, very convincing. However, they all leave out important facts, add fake details, or simply twist the ones that are real to get you to believe it was a consipiracy. Don't let it absorb you. Research it for yourself, and you will end up feeling like you were duped by the idea.
cantcu,
The government hides evidence on a lot of things. Many classified documents have been released in the past decade about things that appeared to be covered up in the early half of the 20th century. Turns out they just had information they didn't want their enemies to be aware of. There's no reason to fret and make up stories...

jersbulk is a liar...ricardo was vacationing with condi rice at the time and nowhere near NY. I do believe that michael moore has in fact documented the tooth fairies involvement.
rainmangu If you really believe we only had 2 unarmed F16's to protect the east coast after 9-11 you are even more naive than i thought.

Common sense tells me if someone hit US's military headquarters with a civilian plane (in a no fly zone),either USA too naive,United states of Utopia(which i doubt),a country with no way with anyone(swiss) or there is something fishy about it..
Well i think three was ..and whoever incharge was like a state with in a state, part of CIA may be,freemasons,jews..Something like that...
If it was't a full military operation, part of USA gov.somewhere at some level knew whats going on,may be CIA at some level or something like that..

Are you visiting moveon.org, CNN, or the myriad left leaning sites? Try FOXNEWS and get both sides of the equation - then think. The only operation going on was Osama Bin Laden getting his jollies by pulling off a dirty surprise - killing totally innocent people.
