if she didn't speak english and she gave me her baby, and i loved it, how could i make the baby mine without having it taken away?
what if i told them that the baby was mine but i don't know where the mother is. could i tell them i needed a new birth certificate or would i need more proof?
i would hate for the state to take the baby away.

She needs to sign the baby over to you and give up all her rights to the baby, go see a lawyer right away and bring the woman with you.
