This scripture reminds me of Mormons and SDV and JW
Church of Ephesus
Rev. 2:1-7 -- To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:...
I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love... Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place...
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God

I would do whatever feels right to you. Personally, I'm not impressed with their beliefs, so I would stay a Baptist. Either way as long as you are true to the Lord, it really doesn't matter what religion you practice.

The seventh day adventists are becoming more and more mainstream christian.
Too bad.
At one time the Seventh Day Adventists, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Mormons were the healthiest, kindest, most faithful religions. As they move towards mainstream christianity they lose their superior statistics.
Their conversion rate is decreasing. Their members are less healthy. Their members are attending church less frequently. Their divorce rate is going up. All as they become more and more similar to other christian denominations and accept their practices.
Pretty soon they will be adopted into Christianity and become just another group of followers with no real faith of their own. Christian groups in general are no better than the general population. At least seventh day adventists were at one time special. As they adopt general christianity their edge over the rest of borderline christianity fades.
As a Seventh day adventist you will have a lower divorce rate, better health, and high church attendance.
Unfortunately, this may not last much longer if they successfully integrate into christianity.

My family was 7th day Adventist and there is no difference really. My great Aunt traveled to do mission work and was vegetarian and lived to be 98.If anyone puts down the Adventist religion then they are hypocrites and are breaking Gods words of thou shall not judge others . Think about it and go to the church and meet the people and get to know the way cause they worship the same God ! Then you can choose what you feel comfortable with .

To answer your last question first, ABSOLUTELY!!!!
If you want to find out more about it, check out the book called "BEWARE THIS CULT!!!" by a doctor from Canada. He talks about the health message and from where it came. Are the Adventists honest with their history? Not too much.
Who is Jesus according to the SDA's? He is the archangel Michael before He came to earth. The JW's believe this and it is the Adventists that taught "Pastor Russell" this!
The Baptists talk about the Christian Gospel. The Adventists talk about the Adventist Gospel. When I inquired about the difference one Sabbath I visited a SDA church, I was told that the Adventist Gospel is that the Adventist Church is the only true church on the face of the earth and that Sunday worship was the mark of the beast. How does that stack up with your Bible?

You should stay a Baptist
They are a cult not a Religion
They worship their Prophet EG White
and use the Bible only to reinforce her
Do you believe that all Races other than Caucasian are Amalgamations
a mix between man and animal
Do you believe that the Bible is wrong and God sent a prophet to correct it
Do you believe that the Government should be overthrown
If yes then join away
David Koresh and Adolph Hitler joined before you
Just read what you are getting
and do a word search
Adolph Hitler Nazi and S D Adventist - WOW
Ever notice that Hitler was a Vegetarian
And David Koresh SDA - who was a SDA minister
Enjoy

The Seventh Day Adventist Church believes in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. They believe in a different way of looking at hell, eternal death and spend, in my opinion, a little bit to much in preaching on the Sabbath and Ellen White, But, I believe every church does similar things, and, spending time with theses folks, my major concern with adventists is Ellen White. I have no problems with there other beliefs.

Look into the 7th Day Adventists beliefs. Look at Baptist beliefs. A solid baptist believes in the doctrines found in scripture. 7th day adventists were started by a woman who believed she was a prophetess in the 1800's... You do know where scripture says a woman is not to be teachers of men....;) She claimed to also know when the world was going to end, so on and so forth... She also suffered from mental problems which plagued her all her life.
Which would you rather follow.....a denomination that beleives in Christ as their leader...or a woman?

I cannot tell you what to do but i can give you advice...ask God not people for an answer to this question, becuase people can be, and often are, very confusing. dont listen to the fanatics and predijuce people. God will tell you what he wants you to do if you'll only listen.
the Sabbath most of the time is a very touchy subject. I beleive that the seventh day is the Sabbath becuase God said it was. and I beleive what God says.
the sacrificing part was done away with when Jesus died becuase he was the ultmate sacrifice and there was no need of sacrifices after he died. the sacrifices were done to simbolize what Gog was going to do to save them. when a family offered a lamb they were to have it live with them in the house for about a week or a few days, so you can imagine the families getting really atatched to it, so when it came time to sacrifice it they had to let go of something they loved, and that was exactly what God had to do but on a much bigger scale. he sacrificed his only son for us, and when he died as a sacrifice the sacraficial law was done away with NOT the statuetes and judgements and the moral law. if you beleive the the other laws were done away with then why be a christian at all?? the point of being a christian is to be "Christ-like" or to be like Christ,(thus the name "Christian") if you have no law you cant be like Christ becuase he himself wrote those laws. and did you hear of Jesus going around stealing, cursing, killing people, comiting adutary or breaking the Sabbath??? I think NOT!!! so then why would he come to this earth, live here, die for us and make it possible to forgive us for our sins if he abolished the law?? with out a law there cant be sinners becuase sinners break the law....so why would God send his only son to die for us so that we could be forgiven of our sins if we dont have any??
Seventh day adventists DO NOT worship Ellen White!! SDAs worship only the God that made the heavens and the earth and all that is in them including us!!!! Ellen White was called by God to give hope to the people of her time AND ours. she didnt come to correct the Bible, becuase if you beleive she did, then why are you reading out of the very same text that you clame she came to correct?? She was a prophet of God, so if you dont beleive in prophets then why do you read the Bible??? it was writen by prophets!!
the SDA people are not a cult, nor do they intend to be. but some people take it to far and they act as if it were a cult and they clame they are SDAs.
yes some people in the SDA church are not the most Godly people but most that i know really love God and do hat he wants them to do. no church has perfect attendance of every member. i garantee that. and divorce is from people not following God in their marrige. no denomination has better people its just what those people choose to beleive. i have a few babtist and mormon friends and some other friends in other denominations and we get along great. i dont care what denomination your in as long as you love God and do his will. so if God tells you what he wants...do it.

You should stay whatever you are led to be as far as the two ways of worship go.
7's big difference with most other Christians is the fact that they adhere to Saturday as the original and still observed Sabbath.
I have no problem with Saturday or Sunday being the day of rest, as long as it is consistant. I observe on Sunday, that day is devolted to worship and fellowship with other believers.
What I have a problem with, is people who change their day of rest, worship and fellowship according to their life schedules, which would make something else more important than GOD.
So, if you feel led to switch observance of the day of rest, not just asked to switch, then by all means follow your heart and head.

The seventh day adventists go along completely with the Bible. Check it out at www.amazingfacts.org
Ellen White is not more important to the SDA's than Jesus, he is our guide and she merely helped found the church and was HIS sevant and points us to HIM not to her. Read her books and you will see, SDA's do not follow Ellen White, she just wrote some wonderful books to help point us to CHRIST.
What really matters is your personal relationship to Christ, not neccessarily your denomination. Check out the book "Escape to God" by Jim Hohnberger (you can even get it at Wal-Mart actually..)

Don't worry about trying to keep the law! The SDA religion believe that one must keep the sabbath in order to go to Heaven. This is rubbish and be careful as if anyone wants to keep the law, the Bible says that they must keep it in all points. Yes! offer up burnt offerings and all the rest. We are under grace and the law was only ever given to the children of Israel and never to us the Gentiles. Stay a Baptist as they stick to the basic teachings!
