It might be epilepsy, take him to the vet. There's not really a cure. My dog used to have seizures every few months especially after holidays when we'd have a lot of people over. It stressed her out and probably helped trigger the seizures. She hasn't had a seizure for a few years now, so maybe she got used to the stress. She's also on medication.

A lot of smaller dags are prone to epilepsy. You would need to have your vet check this out, because there is medicine available to help control the seizures.
A dog might also seize if it got into the trash and ate something it shouldn't of. The next time the dog seizes, see if you notice anything that might have triggered it and also make an appointment with your vet.
Good Luck

You need to take it to a vet. It's phenobarbital levels are low, and they can give you medicine to counteract it. Also when they have a seizure, they temperature spikes. you can put it in the bathtub and run cold water on it. It helps. Also try to hold it still, and pet it and talk to it in a soothing voice. That also helps

Your dog need to go to the vet. There is medication (phenobarbital) that can control seizures but it has to be monitored with periodic blood work. Also if he was a stray, you should get him vaccininated and heartworm checked. I hope you called the local animal shelters to try and find his owners... he could be microchipped as well and they could scan to see if his owners can be tracked down.

Have you taken him to the vet to see what is causing his seizures? They could be caused by epilepsy or by hydrocephalus(water on the brain). Also it could be hypoglycemia(low blood sugar). The vet can treat whatever is causing the seizures and hopefully help to keep them under control, but there is no cure for them. And please do not listen to the one who said they give their dog chocolate every day. Chocolate is deadly to dogs.

IF YOURE NOT TAKING HIM TO THE VET BECAUSE OF MONEY YOU SHOULD TRY THE HUMANE SOCIETY THEYRE CHEAPER, I WOULD TAKE HIM TO MAKE SURE HE'S OK. IF YOURE SCARED THAT HE MAY BE MICROCHIPPED AND THAT THEY'LL TAKE HIM FROM YA, DON'T YOU THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER TO HAVE CARED ENOUGH ABOUT THE DOG TO IGNORE THAT RISK. THE ORIGINAL OWNERS CARED ENOUGH ABOUT HIM TO HAVE PAID FOR SURGERY ON HIM. CHIHUAHUAS AREN'T CHEAP, AND HE COULD HAVE A PROBLEM THAT COULD BE FIXED AND IF NOT IT MAY CAUSE OTHER SERIOUS PROBLEMS--I WOULDN'T GAMBLE WITH IT.
