only about a 1/3 of us are psychotic and vindictive by nature - the rest of us are just sick of people giving us grief

No. Some people are, both men and women, but plenty of women, including me, are not. And believe me, I've been burned badly relationship-wise but I just worked through the pain. I didn't take revenge and I was always the giving person in the relationship.
