To me, family comes first. My family isn't really a tight-knit one, and we don't even really talk except around holidays or something bad happens. I hate it. I would like to hear from my aunts and grandmas on a regular basis, but it just doesn't happen. It doesn't feel like "family" to me. My mom is my family. My kids are my family. And they definitely come first. I would do anything for them and I think they would do the same if faced with that decision. Without family I would have nothing. Friends come and go but family is forever.

Well you know with all these answers, you can see family comes first but also second to God. Maybe you may have just helped some of us to really think about the situation. I believe for the most of it about tha saying, blood is thicker than water. So thank you for that question and keep family close at all times.

To me family comes first. People have busy schedules and do not always have the time they would like to spend with their family, but even the family members that I don't care that much for, If they needed something I would be there for them, and would hope that the same would happen in return.

That would depend on the family. You need to keep in mind that not all are raised by their families, and then there are the families that were abusive. I know we should forgive and forget, but that is easier said than done. I will agree that family should come first but there is always an exception to every rule

Family is first because God commanded it to be so... so in reality, if we build our families around Christ we will be putting both first. That foundation is what makes families strong and loving. It is too bad that Jesus is no longer the center of most homes... if he is at the helm, everything will turn out for your benefit, even when things seem to be getting rough.

I think family is very important, it is a sad thing how it seems everything else seems more important, work, money, things. People are so busy with all those things,
sometimes I think people forget the very people who should be the most important in their lives, most of the
time when they realize this, they are gone. I'm glad you
love being with your family and are able to appreciate it.

I think it depends on the family, because a lot of people do not have good family relationships. However, a lot of times people will make their own families out of groups of friends. You need someone whom you can count on in any situation, whoever that might be.I do agree that spending time together as a family is important though..

I am with you on this one. My family is always first. They are the ones who raised me up in this world and taught me right from wrong before entering the real world where dogs eat dogs. It sounds a lot harsher than it is, but yeah, it just shows that your family may be the only ones you can trust.

yes family comes first.... what ever happened to breakfast together and eating dinner together and movie or game night and family vacations? I know i am keeping these traditions with my child. With no communication or spending time together, i think the family just falls apart.
