Because I studied the bible for myself. I know the kind of life I was living before and know what I am doing now. Only he can explain the change in me. Tried different religions and found one where they could show me what they believe in the scriptures. There is an answer for everything I believe in.

Because it keeps happening over and over again even in my darkest hours. All I need is to have faith and it comes out good in the end with a lesson of some type learned. I just love God and I always have, always will. Though I am quite sure I have let him down a lot, he never has me. There was always a reason things didn't happen the way I wanted and he usually let me know why within a short period of time. I just never question his guiding and I love him for helping me. I sure need it!!! What about you? Good question!!

A lifetime of faith, that was undefined for many, many years. A closeness, a bond, with nature, that I never quite understood. I believed in a higher being, but Jesus wasn't there. He left me feeling empty, alone, isolated. Because he isn't what others claim him to be. I lived that life that many Christians claim to have been saved from by Jesus. I saved myself, the will of the Mother, is what saved me. Jesus wasn't there for me, when she was, though little did I know until years later. Blessed be!

Direct experience, consistency of the experience when tested against other earlier models, sometimes having to push the "I believe" button when it comes to math beyond my capabililties anymore (I just do not do wave equations well and do not even mention String models!)

Regarding life-after-life: two direct experiences. Pope of my own church and I do not seek nor want converts.

Because it makes sense? Things I can't comprehend, I don't believe. Like physics.

mainly because of the way i was brought up and raised...however some things do tend to change when you get older, whether it be about religion, your everyday habits and sometimes the people you hang with can change you (sometimes for better or worse)

Because my faith has lasted me all this time, through all psychological, emotional and spiritual challenges. it has given stability to my life, and brought me closer to Allah (SWT).

I no longer fear death, because what is beyond this life is far more satisfying and glorious than this life could EVER be...

I never really thought about it. I guess its a combination of what my family instilled in me and my own experiences in life.
