I asked a question earlier and for some reason the way people viewed love was different. I just want to know what everyone thinks love is.

1 CORITHIANS 13 WILL TELL U (BEST ANSWER)

1 Corinthians 13: 4-13

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Love is the desire to do good to others;
It is all-embracing of truth, beauty, and goodness.

Love is the greatest thing in the universe,
And the real and eternal source of mercy;

Love is infinite compassion;
Love is universal.
Love is from God.

Love is an intelligent and farseeing parental affection.
Love is the greatest thing in the world.

Love is the ancestor of all spiritual goodness;
The essence of the true and the beautiful.

Love is the true guide to real insight;
The outworking of the divine and inner urge of life.

Founded on understanding,
Nurtured by unselfish service,
Perfected in wisdom,

Love is truly contagious
And eternally creative.

Love does not merely forgive wrongs;
It absorbs and actually destroys them.

Love does not compromise nor condone hate;
It destroys it.

Love is never self-seeking,
And cannot be self-bestowed.

Love cannot be self-contained;
And must be unselfishly bestowed.

Love is the rule of living within the divine kingdom--
Supreme devotion to God,
While loving your neighbor as yourself;

Love is the greatest of all spirit realities,
And is the supreme relationship;

Love is the secret of beneficial association between personalities;
And the very spirit of the religion we proclaim;

Love is the essence of religion
And the wellspring of superior civilization.

Love is alive, free, thrilling,
Dynamic, and always moving;

Love is only born of a thorough understanding
Of your neighbor's motives and sentiments.

Love is not God,
But God is Love.

its the way you're nervous when you speak, but the way they know just what you mean. It's the kinda thing that's bittersweet. It's like dancing when you walk, and singing when you tallk, whenever you're with them you're just so happy to be alive. that's what love is.
