is it possible when FIRST starting birth control to have breakthrough bleeding..ive only been taking it for 8 days now...the blood is sometime slightly present when i wipe, once it was fairly decent enough to need a panty liner, but other than that i only seen it if i used a tampon to check for blood, its very little amount and in the same place on the tampon...

what im asking is it normal to bleed so little its only noticable when i use a q-tip to check for blood? its just barely blood on there..but bright red,sometimes a red/pink color

Yes it is normal to have breakthrough bleeding while on the pill. If the bleeding continues you should contact a fem doctor (OB/GYN) if you have one. If you don't, get one. Although they may have cold hands and may not be the kind of person you want touching you, you might want to realize that this needs to be taken care of, period.

In simpler terms... It just means your body is changing to the cycle the pills want it to be on. The same thing will happen if you stop taking the pills. Little red here, little red there.

Yes.Oh man I was on the pill and bleed for 3 weeks before it decided to stop.

yes, it's normal and it's due to the hormones in the b/c.
If it gets heavier or persist check with your OB and they can try another b/c strength.

Yes... Actually my ex-grilfriend had it for a month after she started... it kind of sucked...
