well i'm pretty sure he was born with this name.
well for his complexion, he is very bright skinned.
i'm assuming he is hispanic because he played a part of a mexican kid.
maybe he is part black but everytime i see this movie, he reminds me of a black kid, the way he carries himself and certain features.

I don't think you've given enough information to answer your question. "Rose" is probably an anglicized name, anyway.

It's not far from the Spanish "rosa" but, again, that is making a wild guess and presumption about the ethnicity of a name proably revised into English.

First of all, how do you know he was hispanic? He may have a black mother and a white father of vice versa. And you're right, the name Darius doesn't sound Hispanic at all. It actually sounds more black. In my case, I am hispanic and i married a white guy and our son is a bit tan (a beautiful color). I'm sure when ppl hear his name and see him, they will know that he's not 100% white. That last name of Rose would not indicate anything.

Rose as a name is English, but really what is in a name who is to say the person didn't pick their own name. Do you know if the name was given to him at birth or if he has changed his name? Why don't you ask darius rose? OMG that would be just plain rude!

A lot of Hispanics, Latinos, Illegas are changing their names to hide their true roots and blend in with the Caucasians.
I'd like to know why they do this, when they love shout "viva Mexico" in their backyards and hang the Mexican flag everywhere.
Maybe he's a La Rosa and dropped the La but have you ever heard of a Black Rican.
