Is this figure correct 6 million "catch and return"?

I came across this little tid bit and was wondering if the number they state is even close to being truthful?? Anyone out there know the truth or is this just some propaganda spin?? Show me the link(s) that dispute it. Here it is.....

it is a true figure and actually a little below the real number, you can get the true data from the US Border Patrol museum in El Paso, as they post it year by year...President Bush said in the last 6 years I believe in his speech and there has been over a million each of the last 3-4 alone.... I work on teh Border in lordsburg, NM and have been there for a year, we have averaged about 30 agents a day in thefield,a nd about 1800 arrests a month...the station next to me is Deming, NM, they have about 175 agents a day inteh field and arrest over 8000/month..so rightthere in 2 stations and 80 miles of border we have 120,000 for the year..as far as criminals I would about 10% of the people arrested have a previous criminal history, I have no figures onthat, when I arrest a group of 10-15 I am usually going to get 1-2 criminals.Ifthey are not criminals they do not get charged criminally until their 15th time...also I would say on average we arrest 30 people carrying drugs a month, and have been averaging 7500 pounds of dope a month with 20 busts a month and those figures are accurate....I will also say the average illegal not carrying drugs, is probably the most respectful person you could ever arest.., but the only probelm is one agent usually will arrest 15 people byhimself and no one can ever besure withthose type of numbers, andmany time the agent will have to escortthem 4-5 miles out of the desert w/o help

Yes, but you weren't told another story. Six years ago Bush sent agents to the border to spread a rumor of amnesty - that's why the total is 1 million caught, 3 million not, and 1 million legally each year give or take for six years.

Oh goodness - now what do we do? We have so many there's nothing America can do. We must surrender to Mexico.

I think it's crap, I don't think the border patrol's been given the resources it needs to be effective, and if they'd get the border fence built, that'd cut down on the need for hands-on interventions/apprehensions etc.

America's got a problem, mexico and central america are trying to migrate north en masse. It's gotta be stopped whether Bush wants to do it, or not...

Bush man, I'll tell ya, the guy is an idiot. I'd love to invite him to my house so I can drive him around all the shanty towns of illegal immigrants. Then I would say, hey dick, this is because of you. All these kids growing up in poverty. How does that make you feel you turncoat.
