Ok, abortion is a big controversial issue lately. So what's the big deal? Why are people so hyped up about it? Do people really know what it entails? Well, a friend gave me this website and I highly encourage you to check it out. There is an abortion doctor on there who did a step by step documentary of what a abortion really is. It clearly lays everything out on the table, and it was by the doctor himself, so no one can argue with that. You can watch it on Windows media or any of those media players. But please be warned that, it is really graphic. But it answered all my questions, Perhaps it'll answer yours as well.
The website is silentscream.org

I think no one but the mother has the right to make that decision. When guys say "abortion is wrong" I think they don't have a right because they are not the ones who will have the responsibility of a child, and they are not the ones who get pregnant.
Also I think it is better to have an abortion than bring an unwanted child into the world. Aren't there enough children already being tortured or killed by their parents or guardians?
If it will ruin the mothers life there is a high chance she will resent her child and especially at a young age. There goes university, a higher education and who knows what else.

I am one of the "for" abortion people.
Its not up-to anyone but the person who may have one.
I also understand the right to life concept.
I was rapped and found out I was pregnant by that bastard. my choice was to abort the baby as I didn't want a constant reminder of what happened to me.
My choice, my life, no regrets.
I was awake the whole time and the Dr told me everything I wanted to know.
I also had counselling prior to having the procedure.
Its really up to the individual in the end.

Since your question is asking how I fell about it I will tell you.
Sometimes it is the right thing to do.
I don't agree with it as a method of birth control.
Rape, incest, dangerous pregnancy to mother--those are rational reasons for an abortion.
Ultimately it is the woman's choice and nobody elses religion or harsh attitudes should play a role in her decision.
It has to be the right decision and hopefully well thought out.

i believe it is the mothers choice of what to do with the child until it is born. abortion is a form of population control. though many may say it is wrong, if that counter on that site is true thats 1 billion more people on earth. if abortion is outlawed the population would skyrocket and overcrowding would occur in every city. resources would drop thus making it more difficult for people to just live let alone work, drive, etc.

I went with a friend who needed an abortion. She was in a situation, and I supported her decision. It is not a form of birth control, that is bad when women abuse it because they are too stupid to take precautions about pregnancy. My friend felt awful when she left there, physically, but knew she had made the right decision, it is heartbreaking. Others need to be less judgemental, and obide by freedom of choice!

ok. let's go to the extreme. If abortion removes a fetus/embryo/etc. from the body of the female (i.e., it prevents a birth from occurring), then isn't using a spermicide to prevent a sperm from fertilizing an egg the same thing? Wouldn't anything that prevents the sperm from reaching the egg be tantamount to "abortion"? That would include any form of birth control, the morning after pill, masterbation, "withdrawal", etc.

I did take the time to go to that site and watch the movie. Wow. It's heartbreaking, but also, at times, it is necessary. I still believe that women should have the option of abortion.

Abortion should only be used in certain instances such as rape. It should not relieve a stupid 16 yr old who had sex and did not use a condom. It costs us money that we pay for (taxes).
