If god is omniscient and " god is love," why would he allow a child to be conceived, knowing that that child would one day reject him and spend eternity burning in a lake of fire?

God created us with free-will, the ability to choose to either love Him back, or to choose to reject Him. Without free-will love would be rendered meaningless because we would all be robots, and if God made us robots, then that would not be real love. People go to Hell because they choose to be separated from God. That is the choice that they made. God is not going to drag someone kicking and screaming into Heaven against their will if they spent their whole life voluntarily rejecting Him. The Bible says that God "is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.", and that "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." First off, there is nowhere in the bible that says anyone will burn for all eternity. $10,000 cash if you can show me just one. It is just not there. Secondly, would you want a robot to serve you or would you rather take the chance that the one that is to serve you could also reject you? He gives that child every resource to know Him and to love Him and go to Heaven. If that child chooses to go to Heaven, he can be there and enjoy eternity with God. But if he chooses to go his own way, he has that freedom too. God will not force you into doing anything you do not want to do but gives you the free choice or free will do choose what YOU want from the deal. He sets out the rewards and consequences as well as the rules we are to live by and it is up to each of us to choose what we want, life or death. By the way, did you catch the death? The wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal life in Hell. For more info, check the site listed below.

First we need to determine which God we are talking about here. Are you referring to the real God, the unconditionally loving God who we are all a part of? This is the one Jesus was talking about when he said the kingdom of God is within you. The one who is our dearest friend and closest companion.

Or are we talking about the angry little judgmental God that lives on some far off cloud called heaven. The one who seems to be more concerned with our errors than he is with our successes? You know the egocentric needy little God that always wants people to worship him. The one who is always unavailable because he is only a fantasy? You need to specify if you want a real answer.

Have you heard of the word: DISCRETION? Man who is made in the likeness of God has discretion. For example a man who can lift a 500 lb dumbell won't be so DUMB to lift everything that weighs 500 lbs. Got the point?

So, it is with God. Although, he is all knowing he uses his foreknowledge with discretion. He does not predestine anyone to destruction, or to be saved. That would go against his lovable characteristic of love and justice.

Common man, use your common sense. Do not believe anything that your cocky teacher, or professor tells you. Use your logic and try to question everything.

The "god" of this world is about the business of killing, stealing, and destroying. This "god" is the father of lies and skilled at deceiving people and blinding them from understanding the truth of The True God's Holy Word. (If you've ever seen the movie "The Matrix", the one thing I like and agree with in that movie is the fact that there is a mass deception in this world.)

God Almighty sent Christ Jesus to redeem us out of this deception. But only the pure in heart will see God...if you want to know The Truth and ask God to reveal it to your heart, He will...he has promised to give us wisdom in the book of James chapter 1 verse 5.

If you really want to know The Truth, God knows your heart and will reveal Himself and all of His Wisdom to you.

May the eyes of your (and all others who read this) understanding be enlightened by the Great, True, and Living Lord God Almighty...in Jesus' Name, Amen!

Read the Bible for yourself, and ask God to reveal His Truth to you...He will do it because He's already promised to. (James 1:5)

Because God gives His children free will, and many opportunities for redemption through His Son Jesus... He sends many messengers with the message, it's up to the listener to make the choice.
God is a good and loving parent, He won't force His will on anyone, just like your parents won't force their will on you.

You cant blame God for something that person decided to do. Its called Free Will. Blaming God is just an excuse so you dont have to live up to your mistakes.

For simplicity sake the answer you seek in the very bible you are questioning.

2 Peter 3:9 refers to how God is longsuffer toward everyone, and not willing that any should perish, but should come to repentance, so that they can have everlasting life with him.

John 3:16 refers to how God "so" loved the world that he gave his only begotten son to die on a cross and for those that believe on his son shall have eternal life with God.

God is love and he refuses to break the very law (FREE WILL) he put in place. So although he doesn't want anyone to perish, he can't and refuses to go against his own word. Think about it for a minute, if he broke his own law even once, then he would be no better than you or I or anyone answering questions on Yahoo. He is a God of integrity and honesty.

Hope it answes your questions!

because he knows the future, a baby rattlesnake is still a rattlesnake, anyways there is no literal hell, its symbolic for total destruction (fire), when you die your sins are forgiven you, God doesn't choose to know everything just because he can know everything. where in the bible does it say you go to a fiery torment?? its not there...look up the original greek words (hades, sheol, gehenna) and you'll understand, trust me.

God gives that child a chance to repent and get saved....it's that thing of free will. He knows we won't all get saved and such...but He gave us that chance.. It grieves Him that His own creations would choose hell over Him...but it's a fact of life that it happens..
