I just started going to a new church called the International Living Bread. Everything they believe seems to go with scripture except they had some small area on talking in tounges (sp?) I started asking a bunch of questions and one lead to the fact that they DO support benny Hinn. Benny Hinn seems like a complete fraud to me. SEEMS is the key word . I don't know can anyone out there help me...Thanks

Find the book and the audio tape "Christianity in Crisis". Hinn is not simply a fraud because of his on stage antics. His theology is completely and totally anti-Christian. He does not believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he believes that each Christian is a god, he believes that Adam was superior to Jesus, etc.
Please do a lot of praying and find a new church. God bless.

Because he is an extreme fake person. Preaching and taking people's money. He is a turn off to people who don't know Christ. Because of people like him....Christians get a bad rap!

Benny Hinn is a complete and utter fraud.
But, he is also an excellent object lesson.
If the average Christian can look at Benny Hinn and say "This man is a fraud." Then perhaps they can then look more closely at their faith and see it in a new light.

Honestly, because he is a fake. I have many friends who are handicapped (MD, deaf, etc). Whenever they go to the Hinn crusades they sit in the handicapped section and suprisingly Mr. Hinn never looks in their direction, and never goes near them.
I tried to support Mr. Hinn from critics in the past, but upon studying him, found that he is very messed up theologically & has a poor view of what it means to follow Jesus. Plus something in my gut says, "fraud"...my gut is usually right (Holy Spirit?).
View: I don't beleive God uses tongues in the church in the USA. Why? The church doesn't need the bells and whistles to give credibility to God's gospel...we already know it's true. Tongues, in the Bible was always used to confirm a message, that it was from the Lord (to new converts). In Mexico, etc...where the gospel is still new, you see tongues and other miracles.
In an established church I don't believe God uses big fireworks to heal, he wants us to walk by faith. By the way, I have seen people healed in private prayer meetings (cancer, skitzophrenia, etc...).

Benny Hinn goes on the philosophy that we need signs and wonders to prove Christ's existance... And then does placebo type shows to make himself look good and bring in money. I've seen videos and shows on him....not real impressed with his salvation speaches (have yet to see one based on scripture).
Signs and wonders were for the Jews/Gentiles before the bible was written in the form we have now...the Apostles couldn't go around handing out KJV's and tracts...Christ gave them the ability to heal, cast out devils, etc...to prove His diety and grace. Benny Hinn isn't an Apostle, nor does he have the ability to do signs and wonders... It is merely show..
Find yourself a good bible preaching/teaching church....who doesn't go supporting the world...but supports the BIBLE.

For example one of Benny Hinns teachings...That Adam had dominion over the animals means Adam could fly !! there are many more absurdities too numerous to mention.

Benny teaches alot on health and wealth. The belief that God financially blesses anyone who is obedient to Him.
Job would be a perfect example to oppose this statement.
That's why alot of mainstream churches disagree with him and tons of other TV evangelists.

i seem to like benny hinn and people are afraid of what they dont know hes part of the pental costal movement my pastor does alot of what benny hinn does you just gotta understand it more
