Well its easy to get and most parents buy it as a snack. also they see the adds for it on tv and want to try it. Its a mix of parenting and big business advertizing, along with their appetite.

children have more different taste buds then adults - children have more in the tip of the tongue which is the sweet area while adults have more on the sides for other tastes. For this reason - the ability to have a much stronger taste for a junk food means preference to choosing that food.

Because it's cheap and its accessible. It is salty and sweet. Most kids love candy, and anything sweet and then give them anything salty like a chip or a Frito and they are usually good to go. Kids can survive on that Hi-C cra$ and soda and all kinds of other sugar ladened drinks to reve them up so that by dinner time they dont eat dinner.

I think teens eat junk food, cuz its the cool thing to do. Little ones eat it, cuz its given to them. But, I find alot of us eat it, because its cheaper and it tastes better than healthy food.

Because while they have their butts firmly planted on the couch, their moms are letting them eat whatever they want. Parents don't really care today, they just let everyone else raise their children. "It's too difficult to have my own crazy reckless life and raise a child." < That's the point!

parents. My daughter is 13 months, and she doesn't eat junk food, because i dint give it to her, and I don't let any one else give it to her. The worst she gets is Chocolate milk once in awhile.

because their parents let them...my neice is 2 and she does not eat junk food...instead of whining for a candy bar she whines for carrots and apples...my sister knows what she's doing i wish more people would keep their children healthier like my sister does my neice...it's a shame really.

It's yummy! As we get older we have enough self control to hold off from it. Kids find something they like and stick to it.
