I keep getting themessage upgrade to windows XP

If you are using Windows 2000(Win 2K) then you can only install the version 7.0 or below.
The MSN messenger version 7.5 & the latest version -- Windows Live Messenger (version 8.0) is only applicable for Window XP or above.
For the Messenger version 7.0 and 7.5, you can download from : http://get.live.com/messenger/overview
For the Windows Live Messenger, you can download from : http://ideas.live.com/programPage.aspx?versionId=ef051fb5-d20f-41fd-b0c6-06fa1b0445da or http://ideas.live.com/?mkt=en-us
