I was hearing today again about the vampire bats and I thought of you guys. I still think bats are like my punk and goth brothers. Spikey hair and sharp teeth and flying around with attitudes. But, did you know that they are so cool ? They of course suck blood and when they attach themselves to the animals they have a built in anastetic that numbs the flesh so the animal wont feel the puncture wound and they will be able to just hang there and drink without discomforting the host. The teacher said its kind of like a dentist numbing the patients mouth before drilling. Isnt that sooo cool and unique ? I mean wow! What a testimony to a great Creator! He...Jesus..built in an anastetic into the animal. It is Gods " designer custom equipment " built in at the creation. Isnt that cool ! Bats are born with designer outfits on! Interesting, but no proof of God. The simple fact is that if the animal could feel the bat drinking, the bat would have a much harder time finding willing victims. The anesthetic allows the bat to drink as much blood as it wants without arousing the suspicion of the host animal. If God were trying to make it less painful for the host animal, the anesthetic would be permanent, but it isn't. It wears off and the host not only can feel the pain but also, I would imagine, is very woozy from the loss of all that blood. Not as great a thing as you assume.

God does make some cool and unique creatures.
But Somehow I dont think hardcore atheists will be swayed......
To bad really, christianity could use people with their passion for things.
We honestly could use some skeptical logic they provide, maybe they would have seen that there is something wrong with any interpritation that promotes hatred among a small group of people.
*gays come to mind, so do the poor wiccans, not like either one can hurt us but there are those that intensly hate them that claim to be Christian* (Come to think of it, can ANYONE really hurt us? I mean if God is for us who can be against us right? Its not like death is even a bad thing, Seeing God, Visiting heaven and all that)

It is not cool or unique. Mosquitoes and leeches both secrete anesthetic. Leeches even secrete anti-coagulant. Boy, it doesn't take much to impress you guys, does it?

No, they evolved this mechanism because if they didn't calm the animal they bite, then the animal would knock them off or shake them off.
If they were created exactly to suck blood, why wouldn't God just put little blood nipples on cattle for them?

Atheists that attack your beliefs are wrong, but please. Don't make assumptions about the whole. Many athiests don't attack the Xtians, many just leave 'em alone.
Please, give everybody a break here. People are all sick of hearing the Athiests and the Xtians bicker all the time.
