not much really that can be done for a broken thumb you can splint it yourself just get some stuff from the local drug store and wrap it up so that it sets ok and leave it on there for a couple of weeks, that is all that the Dr. will do

There isn't a lot that they can do for broken fingers other than keeping it straight on a splint and adding ice or bandages.
If you can't move it, or it appears to be broken you should probably see a doctor and they will most likely do what I just said.

Whoa... you shouldnt be here asking questions. If your fingers are moving and bending like they are not normal than you have a broken finger. But if it just hurts than maybe its okay. GO CHECK IT OUT. my ex boyfriends hand wasent broken but the bone was disfunctioned and was sticking out so they doctor just pushed it back in. good luck

can you move it? is there seriously swelling and pain?? it's best to go to a doctor to be sure, otherwise the bones might not grow back together quite right - which can cause you problems down the road.

go to the doctor and see if you broke it.. then he/she will tell you what to do. until then. don't do extensive labor with it.
