Although the Toyota's are high on the list of vehicles that are stolen...........it's for a reason. The toyota is one of the most versatile vehicles on the market today. All you have to do is ask this question........ how many Kia's have you seen with 400thousand miles on them?.......NONE.....How many Toyota's have you seen with 400thousand miles on them.......i've seen quite a few.
They might be rust buckets....but mechanically you couldn't ask for a better running vehicle( foreign).........and the 4x4 trucks Toyota puts out are the same way.......many miles for the money.......my neighbor has one that had over 450 thousand miles on it before he gave it to his son to drive....a rust bucket( we live near the ocean so salt air does them in)....but it ran like a champ. Also do yourself a favor..... call your local parts store...ask the price for a kia starter..then a toyota starter....also ask for similar quotes on the alternator, breaks & other parts you'll be replacing to general maintenance....... you'll be suprised to find out how much more expensive the Kia parts are versus the Toyota parts.Good luck!

Toyota, from experience you will pay it off and still be driving it with no car note.....unlike other cars that you will still be paying for and making costly repairs at the same time.

Honda is the even better choice, I have had three Honda's and they all drove over 240,000 miles with no major repair! It was great, once you buy a honda it is hard to buy anything else.

BUT, my dad has a Toyota Corolla that he has had for yrs and never had a problem with it either.

Good luck with your purchase.

Toyotas are known to be very reliable cars. There is a reason they are one of the top companies in the world. (Number 10 on the 2005 Forbes Global 2000, which lists the top 2000 corporations in the world based on sales, profit, assets and market value.)

Toyota's have better service records, so I would buy that one. I haven't heard great things about Kia's.
