It is not the responsibility of these drivers to get out your way and create a space for you. It is your responsibility to pace yourself to the existing traffic so as to merge smoothly with no need any disruptions or changes on the part of others.
When you get on the entrance ramp, do NOT stay close to the car ahead of you. Let them far enough ahead of you that you can really step on the gas and accelerate up the same speed OR FASTER than the cars in the freeway's right lane are travelling. Then you merge in without causing a disruption, kind of like people getting on an escalator don't disrupt the speed at which the escalator's steps are moving, or the distance from one step to another.
That said, if you're driving in the right lane of the freeway, you should be alert for merging traffic up ahead and move one or two lanes to the left to make more room for these entering cars to make a smooth merge. But do this ahead of time, not when you've already reached to point where the new traffic is coming on.

I think if someone is driving in the right lane they should understand that's where people merge on to the freeway so it is there responseability also. Not just the merger because that guy has to merge in look in his mirrors an behind him taking his eyes off the road while the guy in the right lane does not make room so it is the idiot in the right lane in my opinion going to slow or to fast or not changing lanes or giving some space at fault more if I had to write a traffic book that's what would write right lane drivers be nice don't be an ***. I can understand if theres a lot of traffic an you want to get home but when there isn't don't be an ***.

The people on the freeway have the right-of-way. You are the one who is supposed to yield to them.
A good idea is to start looking at the traffic on the freeway as soon as you can. That way you can find a spot for yourself. Nevertheless, if you get to the end of the ramp, and there are cars there, you're the one who should stop.

well u have to be going at the same speed as the other traffic, and if your merging onto the freeway, the other drivers ALREADY on the freeway have the right of way. they have the choice of making room for you or not.
some people are real nice and will let you in, u should always be using your blinker lights.

If you are in a traffic jam then that is just rudeness and it has nothing to do with you - unless you drive a politically incorrect vehicle and people are voting with their driving.
If it is open road how are you merging? You should be accelerating into an open space in the traffic flow even if it means speeding ahead of the flow. Pick a spot and go.
Nothing worse than a merger who slows to fit in behind someone - that just confuses people and they can't tell were you are going to end up and they'll just choose to sit in their lane and mosey on by you.
A decent skill is to move to the left to open up the merge lane but that doesn't work very well in congested flows.
So I'd say check YOUR merging style... and notice how others do it better...

I've had the same problem. It's because either they are too stupid to move over, talking on their cell phones and not paying attention. Another reason, and maybe the most plausible explanation, is that they have had a bad day and are in a bad mood, have miserable lives, or just generally feel like giving someone a hard time.

You're going too slow, speed up when getting on the freeway!
You have to be going faster than the people you
are merging with and THEN you can merge. Logic.

Because they're trying to get where they're going! And, actually, it's your responsibility to match their speed and get in. When you're on the freeway, you are not supposed to slow down, you're supposed to go a consistent speed for the people coming in to match.
So, really, they're just obeying the law.

Because most people, especially those south carolina, are not very considerate drivers, having absolutely no regard for other drivers, they daily pull out in front of you and slow down, switch lanes rightin front of you and slow down, or ride your tail as to imply that you going the speed limit or 5 over is simply to slow.

If you are not actively moving into my lane, then my number 1 objective is not to change my speed. I know that you will think that I simply "didn't see you". If you got your blinker on, then I suspect you will watch out for me as I move past you.... and you're not really serious about the lane change until you move to the edge of your lane. (If you don't have your blinker on, then I don't even know you want to get in at this moment...you might be getting your speed up, etc).
