Well, if you still want to spend big bucks on an engagement ring, you could always go to Tiffany's (they also have a website now - God bless the 21st Century) and pick out something stoneless that is of a highly artistic quality or stylized in a way that it still attracts the eye.

He can get a ring that isn't from Sierra Leone you know? He can ask the dealer where the diamond is from they will know because of the way they have to order the rings. You watch to much Kanye and Jay-Z.

Any reputable jeweler won't use conflict diamonds. You are pretty safe to go to the jewelry store in the mall and get a diamond and have peace of mind that you are not supporting the diamond wars. Large jewelry stores wouldn't risk the fines and penalties for using conflict diamonds. Lab created diamonds and Moissanite are a couple of alternatives to diamonds.

Well I understand her point of view. Canadian diamonds are conflict-free diamonds, why don't you mention that to her. But it is hard to actually know where the diamond originates. You'll have to do your research.

I myself do not like diamonds either.....so i dont know why they came out with a diamond is a girls bestfriend........so not true.
well for the engagment ring i would get sapphire that is the color i like and what i want my engagement ring to be when i find that right man and he finds me too. SAPPHIRE ENGAGEMENT RING. ITS PRETTY.
