Was your "type" modeled after a first love, dear old Dad or Mom or an actor/actress - some sort of cutural icon? What is it that attracts you do you think, before you even really know the person?

Okay someone asked about my type - from my track record it seems to be tall, dark hair, blue eyes and on the lanky side. Creative, literate, funny guys.

I'm attracted to people after watching how they behave. If a person looks thoughtful before approaching me or if they seem observative, then I'm attracted. In the very least I can give them credit for thinking before speaking. LOL If I'm attracted by someone's looks, I don't act on it because I know that it's just physical and probably not going anywhere. Where did I get my ideas from? I have no clue. Attraction is weird though, because I can be physically attracted to someone, watch how they act, and instantly be turned off. On the other hand, a person who I might not look twice at can do something I observe and I can be instantly turned on by it. I'm trying to figure this man/woman thing out myself on the "deeper" level (or commonly known as divorced over thirty and single level) LOL

I see the love she has for god. The love for children. The presence of this certain type will make my soul jump for joy. The woman don't have to be super attractive. But a least be the have the looks the will always keep my earthly expectations up. I mean I am human. Nor does she have to be skinny. But I should at least be able pick her up. But I am really strong. I'm not going to say how much I bench. But most importantly its what I see in their eyes. You know the eyes are the porthole to the soul.

dont have a type. just like girls who take an interest in me.
its nice if a girl can cook. but its not that important. a girl who is good with finances. and not ill mannered. who likes adventure.
and doesnt take forever to get out of the house in the morning.
also must enjoy ale. have you seen her? tell her i said 'hi'.
once i pulled up to my gf's house. and she was changing the oil in her car. its the little things like that. you know. that just makes your heart go pitter pat. to bad it didnt work out with her. if i had to say . i had a specific type. it would be a daddys girl, a girly girl who picked up some common sense from her dad.

I do have a type, but i'm flexible. Tall, attractive and a non-smoke with good shoes and excellent dental hygene!
Not sure where it came from though..

Don't know why. I've practically never strayed from that formula. I dated a blond once, but that was it.

I guess my first best friend when I was five or six. I don't have a type, really, but I guess he was my first impression of 'boys'.
