I would go to a salon and ask them. They would probably be able to help you better. Honestly though? If you put in a darker color over the lighter color, usually the darker color prevails. Good luck!

You will still have lighter color where the blonde is at but if you put a neutral color in with the darker burgundy or red you will have a beautiful contrast. You have to use at least 1/2 of the mix as neutral if you don't then the blonde will turn pink. Goodluck

It depends. If you're using a color with ammonia, the highlights shouldn't show (or be obvious). If you're using a semi-permanent color without ammonia, the highlights will show at least a little.

Unless you are very experienced at this, you're going to wind up with bi-colored highlights or worse if you do this on your own.
Go to a salon and tell them to do it!

color fades, its just what it does, use color gloss to prevent it. From john freda.
You'll end up with spots you/ve missed or some too dark or too light... ive done it to mine, turned out bad! Your best luck is to do something with what color you got, if you got dark use dark to med... if you got light put some dark... Don't mix darks with darks or lights with lights its bad!
